Right now I'm checking out new dnb dubplates whilst floating round HOP:

2 of the tunes I've just listened to are unbelievable, have a listen if you can:

https://dubplates.dogsonacid.com/track.php?id=1118

(Vault by Pendulum, 3 Ozzies who are really coming through in dnb, one of the best drops I've ever heard)

https://www.chemical-records.co.uk/buttons/pl.gif

(New LP on Quarantine by C4C and Fierce called Burmuda and Carrier...both sides are really good, hope that link works. If not go to www.chemicalrecords.co.uk then chose dnb then go to forthcoming and search for it)

p.s. Musashii, it is J Majik with Kathy Brown who did Love is Not a Game...good choice mate !

I've just been introduced to Mr. Scruff who's pretty cool
but mainly
Placebo's new album - Sleeping With Ghosts, truley awesome, much better than BMM...

Had a vintage stage and dug out a load of old Nirvana too - still sounds great

mr scruff is wicked!

both albums were slightly disappointing after his unbelieveably good 12's ('chipmunk' was the only one that ever made it to an album)

and as if doa isn't the best jungle site around! remember when doa was just the message board and mr peace's dnbmassive was independent? ah, happy days
salinger - love is not a game, dillinja remix, 2nd drop. best drop ever...?

is there anyone on this site that has bad taste in music?!

*wanders off thinking about posting an 'official burt bacherach appreciation thread' to weed out the infidels...*

Gotta agree that there's some damn fine listening going on in the ol' HOP by everyone here, fair play to all.

Funny and strange you should ask...

Right now im listening to Vol. 3 of the Jimi Hendrix PPX Studio Recordings, which has a song on it called "the Ballad of Jimi" It was recorded for the 1st time (the one on the CD) five years to the day Jimi died. In it he sings of his dead friend Jimi, it talks of his death from drugs (later removed in another released recording), with the last three lines:

"Five years,
This he said,
Is not gone, is just dead"

Scary stuff or what...

Yup, what Rev. C@ntus said, also known as hardkore(BPM's ranging from 170 to 210+, but with 4/4)..I dont really distinguish between the two(gabber/hk), just like I dont differentiate between Blue PsyTrance n Green PsyTrance

All of the artists I listed after the Ron D Core post, Hellfish, etc, are hardkore. Some nice offshoots for those who can't take more than 5 min of the constant assault of bass are ah TranceCore n Break Core

I'm actually listening to the new Linkin Park album right now, but later on there will be some Tiesto in the mix, and then if my brain can take it, some Omar Santana (Hardcore Breaks) and Neophyte (same).
