Hi to all you twirlers and HoP lovers!

I'm Malcolm's latest addition to the HoP family with my first day of work here at HoP today (Mon 16th Oct 06) and I see lots of fun ahead (as well as a huge learning curve)! I am totally new to poi so I hope I don't make too many dumb comments!

A bit about me then:

George McNeur, male, age... "enough"!

Family: wife Heather, 3 boys 12, 13, & 15.

Location - Christchurch, NZ.

working career: Electronics Engineering - 15yrs RNZAF, 6 yrs in Test/Manufacturing and 6.5 yrs network products R&D.

You can find out a teensy bit more about me/what I've done at these sites:

https://kiwisoldier.150m.com/now.htm#george

https://kiwionice.150m.com/

and my current main interest outside of work and family: https://aotearoakendo.150m.com/

So, looking forward to the journey, and meeting all you guys 'n girls.

cheers

George

we have a saying in our family "it's illegal, it's immoral, and it makes you fat!" - usually used in relation to eating chocolate or other yummy things (like Marmite ubblol ), so I take your assertion to mean it's completely OK! biggrin
And as to your 3rd point - anything is possible in HoPper-land!

That's really interesting physics Dr Mike, because your nutella bomb would be like a point source and yet it was able to cover ALL the walls (and my ones are a arranged in a pentagram kinda shape) AND the parts of the walls at the corner intersections with exactly the same thickness??? Did you see the Mythbusters trying to do explosive painting a-la Mr Bean??? THEIR physics say it can't be done.
/end soapbox

Now ignoring the physics - that was a pretty dirty rotten trick frown angry
I'm going to have to cogitate a while on the perfect revenge... Expect it when you least it expect you mad nutella fiend you! nana

Yayness! Oh we soo missed you - and not in the Rouge way wink
ummm what's been happening - oh, Gidg has been running amok in CG abandonded threads, Doc's been upping the ante on the nutella crusade, Clarence changed her Avatar twice and is having a sofa and large screen TV installed in her little tank, Brenn is too turtly for the turtle club, Pounce had to have her wrist piercings out & is having kinkiness in her thread to make up for it (& somehoe I almost ended up having Mand's babies during that) and ummm, ummm, - oh yes - stuff.
There ya go - all up to date. biggrin

Now how was your awayness??? ubbrollsmile

Hey George
So, in a marmite discussion with spitfire last night (yes I've turned my girlfriend into a marmite fan), she asked if I'd told you about dippy eggs and marmite soldiers.
You familiar?
I think it's my favourite marmite dish. smile

you hadn't told me but I is understanding about dippy eggs and marmite soldiers of course! (Well I know about what we call marmite soldiers and dippy eggs - presumably they're the same! strips of toast to dunk in soft boiled eggs right?)

Other than the simple uncorrupted taste of marmite on hot buttered scones, I think my next fave would be mousetraps - marmite on (mousetrap shaped/sized) bread/toast with bits of bacon & cheese lightly grilled.
Marmite and lettuce sandwiches is an other one - sounds much weirder than it tastes.

Yay for converting Sipifire!!! Your kharma points total inceases by 1000 for that clap clap biggrin
