Hmm.. the title looks a bit suss But nup, not sure who's in New Farm. Moonfest is this Monday coming btw.. check the Moonfest thread under events. Hope you find them.. usually names help too. Welcome to HoP btw!

thanks Ry...I`ll have to keep my eyes peeled at moonfest...whats suss about my title..I`m hopeless with names but never forget faces!!anyway we shared some fuel with these guys who had run out and they told us about the newfarm nites and had some cool practice poi from asia..very pretty and cool moves for the firestick for my friend...do you go to moonfest?? I`m hoping to be there with some glo poi for sale as I`ve had lots of interest at previous gatherings..see you amongst the fumes maybe!!

Fumes?!?!?!



Um, hope not!!! We are lucky in Brisbane that we can get odourless fuel easily and cheap. Find us crew at Moonfest and no doubt someone will give you some burns (um, fuel to burn that is, not physical damage!) Please don't use kero at social gatherings.. cos of the stink factor...Not saying that odourless is a health enhancer exactly..it's just not so phew!!!

Thanks again Ry...ended up finding the guys I was after..they said they`d been a bit slack...that is why I couldn`t find them.The glopoi are long tubes home made by my yoga teachers from fernvale..I grabed some to sell cause I`ve been asked each moonfest and burleigh if I had any for sale and even offers to buy mine..I`m still keen to find some fire players in the western suburbs...heard of any?????So if you see the glopoi out and about come say hello!!!

yeh sorry didn`t mean bad fumes...I use firesol myself..but when I`m arriving at moonfest I can always smell when I`m close by and surely its not the firesol I can smell?anyway hope to meet you one day come and say hi..my glopoi are about 30cm long and `im always keen to learn new moves and at most moonfest.

Don't think I saw your glowies at moonfest- and I was keeping an eye out as well.. Not sure if too many people are Western Suburbs, but you ought to come down Monday Nights to Southbank Piazza to have a play and say hi and all that..

The smell's likely to be kero (ugh) or citronella. A lot of us have long since switched to solvent d60 (shellsol d60), ksolt, solvent 11.. which are much better and not nearly as stinky..

well i`ll have to give the other fuels a go maybe they last longer too!I`ll also try and get to southbank one of these monday nights..see you you soon!My glopoi are a little flat on batteries at the moment but they`ve lasted a long time..nearly a year..Iwas towards the far end of the beach if you were coming down the hill.Did you get any new photos..I looked at your gallery and very nice photos...quite a photogragher aren`t you.You still didn`t tell me what was suss about my intro???

A bunch of us were right in the centre.. you may or may not have seen me with some fire snakes.. or you'd definitely have seen Elke (.:* Moon Pixie *:.) with her dreads and contact juggling and staff, or would have probably seen anyone from Dom, Meenik, Valura, sureau, gita, Baccory, BlondePyro.. usually under the tree at the big pink blanket?

May have got a couple of shots, haven't checked yet- experiencing a big problem with storage space at the moment. But thanks .

Suss about the intro? Oh, just when I first read the title, I wasn't thinking New Farm as the suburb (even though I lived near it for 3 years), but new farm guys for your farm or something..

yeah I did see you guys at moonfest...my girlfriend and I can`t wait to learn some of the groovy moves you guys perform..the snakes look good..I saw the pics from ippi festival and glad to see fire shows out our way...we were watching from the pathway and got an awesome view...hopefully some inspiration and curiosity will grow in some of the crowd and fire play kicks off out this way too.Anyway hope to catch up with you one of these mondays or moonfests....is everyone still keen during the winter months !!!!
