Opps.......I did the bad thing as a newbie and I didnt use the template for all you nosy noses out there so here I sit editing my introduction.........my origional sin will be at the bottom........here goes
Name:Stephen......but you can call me Loki
Location:Torrington, Connecticut, USA...for the moment, I spontaniously travel alot
Hometown:again Torrington.....I'm here visiting family
D.O.B.:April 3, 1975.......man I'm getting old
Age:this seems redundant......I'm 30 if you couldn't do the math
Sex:male..... if you didn't guess by my name
Occupation:Jack of all trades master of none
Favorite food:mmmmmmmmm foooooood.......
Favorite colour: green wins and I was happy to see the recipie for green fire..... good to know for when I graduate to fire poi
Toys:hmmmm......PG, R, or XXX........not sure which to list
Hobbies other than the obvious: playing guitar and singing, juggling, devil sticks, playing with my wonderful dog, disc golf, hiking, camping,lots and lots of stuff.....
Education:one year of college then I stopped, but I plan to go back in the spring of 2007 to be a nurse......theres a big shortage and I want to help people
Favorite books: currently I'm reading Wired:the short life and fast times of John Belushi.....any thing put out by Crimethinc collective is great too.....I love books they are food for your brain
Favorite movies:to many to list but a few are: What the bleep do we know, Waking life, Natural born killers, Fight club, Happy Gilmore, Supertroopers..... I could go on and on.....but I wont
Favorite TV shows: Family guy, Lost, That 70's show, The Simpsons.....
Plans for life in general(i.e.what I want to do when I grow up):I dont ever want to grow up and if I do promise to shoot me
Favorite music artist/composer:far to many to list ....music is my life and there litterally isnt a single kind of music I dont enjoy
Favorite ice cream:I scream you scream we all scream for ice cream......anything with lots of chunks of yummy stuff in it

Hi all.......I'm new here and I'm glad I found the home of poi to unroll my bedroll in and curl up on the floor for a bit ......I fell in love with poi after a fire dancer performed at my friends wedding and it invaded my entire being.....even my dreams.....so I made some sock poi and started to learn.....I aspire to fire.......I've juggled and done devil sticks for many years and I think I found my next great love in poi.....these are such great activities when your a traveler such as me..... it helps to pass time and sparks conversations with new people who are curious about what I'm doing.....I cant wait to get better and have my first burn......thanks for reading this and feel free to message me with any tips you might have for me to help me progress.....

Mudd!!! Eeeewwww and we were having nice clean fun.
Now if you want to play with something that's sort of muddy this is the weapon of choice. *grabs a bucket of chocolate pudding and dumps it over Ezz's head, slipping the bucket over her head, Gidg gives it a tap.* That's the ticket!

Ohhhhh thats what a cubby is.....see I knew I knew what it was but called it something else.....I called it a blanket fort.....I think cubby sounds nicer.....and YEAY for having one in my room!!!!!!!!

Yep you left it here.....we got distracted by redecorating my room after the fire incident I knew it would come in handy
*looses grip on the hose while its still on and it starts to flail around soaking the whole room*
GAH!!!!!! *makes a dive for the hose but misses and slides accross the floor and into the cubby*

Well that has never happened before, but then I don't think a guy has ever tried to actually use this firehose. *walks over and picks up the hose and looks at the end of it* I don't THINK that it has a mind of it's own ... but it does seem pretty limp right now ... among other things.

Camp fire? ABSOLUTLY!!!!!!!! That would be a great way to dry off and warm up after all that water. I'll clear a spot to have it in and you get some wood.

We're not going to do the fire in the house thing again are we? Remember what happened last time?
*takes the fire hose, sits by the on valve and waits for the fire and smoke damage to start once again.* It was such a beautiful ceiling.

Where did that come from?I like it though, especially scince I have Norse haritage and my dream funeral is to have my body cremated and put in a wooden boat and set ablaze and adrift

Where did that come from? Well It started with the open fire pit in the middle of the room and then the chimney and that lead me to started thinking about vikings and you being named after a viking god. It just seemed natural.

We'll need some raindeer antlers and some firs ... it might be easier just to demolish the whole building and start from scratch. Then we can have to correct type of walls.

This was great, thought I'd share. Today at the park this kid, he was around 7 or 8 maybe? Anyway he comes running up to me and says "Are those Poi?" and I was like how cool a kid this young knows what these are. I didnt think anyone in my area had heard of poi never mind a child. I smiled and said "Yes they are.....you've heard of them?" and he goes "yeah , at my summer camp one of my councelers is a martial arts teacher and he did a workshop on spinning poi. I know the forward butterfly, behind the back forward butterfly, over the head butterfly" as he listed them I did them and he got all excited saying "Yeah thats it thats it!!!!!!" then his caregiver asked all kinds of questions about it and then they went and sat at a picnic table and watched me for quite awhile and I could hear the boy telling her all that he knew about poi.
What a great experience I'm still smiling now.
