So i've been gone from home since August last year and in that time i've seen Rob play trombone in Edinburgh, Stay with Jon and play at Spitz in London, be cold and see cool old rocks at Stonehenge, let my jaw drop and try and absorb some greatness at Falmouth biggrin ride around the Netherlands, play with rats in Germany and stay with Vance in Berlin, check out the bone church in Czech Republic, stand next to a strange fat man throwing stones at someones window in Slovakia, eat snitzel in Vienna, get inspired to photograph faces in Hungary, fall in love with Romania , spend so little on such great food in Bulgaria and meet Yordan, drink awesome chocolate in Greece and meet Daphne, see my first snow in Estonia and be spellbound by the glaciers and mountains of Iceland.
Planning next year to walk accross Transylvania with Prosparity Fire (Eric), hopefully be in Turkey for my birthday weekend to witness the full solar eclipse, see some beautiful design and nature in Scandinavia, and some sun in Portugal and Morocco. I'm not sure how i'll be getting back home yet, but i'd love to go overland, through former yugoslavia, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India, SE asia and really get to experience some diverse cultures. Maybe when i get back i'll finish Uni, or maybe i'll find something else.
I've been around HOP for a while, and now here is my introduction.

Peace and love

Hello.

Did you know that Fight Club is actually all about Calvin and Hobbes?
I may start a thread on it one day. When I can be bothered.

Enjoy your stay in the Nuthouse. Would you like a chocolate brownie?

Was wondering how an Australian had ended up in Belgium and especially Tienen of all places. A Belgian girl, not surprised.
(Hey, Mieke, als je nog eens naar Engeland komt, kun je dan wat suiker meebrengen want de Engelse is niet zoet genoeg tongue )

And forget about Nutella, there's so much more choice in Belgium. Tried Kwatta yet? Or the Cote D'or dark chocolate paste, mmmh...

Ask a question and be a fool for a minute...don't ask and be a fool your whole life.

Hey Guy, the bike trip didn't happen, but i'd still like it to some time just don't know when. When we were going to ride we wen't to iceland instead, Mieke could fly free, and she was afraid of riding all the mountains ubbloco so we walked some in iceland instead.
The chocolate in Belgium is truly wonderful, but the choco in this house is becel diet stuff for mieke's dad, but it's still lekker smile But that Cot D'or does look tempting, i think i'll have to get some on your reccomendation Firetramp.
hey adya miriyana wave i think at the moment that i'll be back in adelaide in about a year, some time in novmber, there is just still so much to do over here. But i'm definitely looking forward to seeing what the friday nights have grown into.

Wow this thread has been dormant for a long time and so many things have changed. I'm still in Europe, currently france, trying to decide where i should spend six months working and living, germany? ireland? no longer with mieke, i'm now 23 have been in europe for over two years and two months still loving every moment of it, not sure when i'll be back in adelaide, discovered the joy of hitch hiking, have a magical overtone flute and so much has happened.

well yeah, that's a bit of an update for now, hoping to meet up with some more of you wonderful people along the way
