aight.

yes. its another music thread... but please keep your panties dry and keep reading.

I love psytrance and for the last 2 years i have been collecting everything i could get my hands on. This thread is going to be updated as many times as i can, with new banging tracks that i have discovered. im only going to give download links if the track was put online by the artists themselves, for all other tracks, youll have to find (read: download) it somewhere else, if you catch my drift.

my psytrance preferences go into the dark, fast, evil niche,

however i have recently discovered the more light and melodic side of psytrance, and even started to appreciate progressive tracks...

all comments, questions and other nonsense are welcome

cool

1)

Artist: the vicious spiral

Track: ibiza punkstar

I got this track from a friend. It has a really strange beginning with no continuous baseline, but a good beat, and introduces some twitchy sounds. about 3min into the track it breaks in a really eccentric and unmelodic way, just to start blasting a continuous baseline, a guitar sample and the twitchy sounds from the beginning speed up and work nicely together.

2)

Artist: wizzy noise

Track: opus drive

Album: digital performers

a very light track for my standards. it takes ages to build up. it has a great baseline but u have to wait for it. thats wahat i would like to hear at about 10 am in the sunshine after dancing all night.

3)

Artist: G-Light

Track: alive substances

Download:clicky clicky

woah. russian trance thats nice and floaty. usually russian artists make more dark music, but this rocks. listen to it yourself...

to be continued.............

Artist: Krumelur

Track: Kicks

Album: Zen 2

progressive trance that is not boring! yes it exists. This is the first track of the most excellent compilation Zen 2. the beginning is a bit slow and unspectacular, but after 1min 20 sec it starts to pick up and develop the excellent slow and rolling beat and baseline, a spine twisting synthline goes on for about another minute, and at about 2min50 sec it starts off with its stomp inducing main part. it stays mellow and chilled out for the rest of the track but has very interesting and unusal sounds that round it off.

[wooo i could keep writing till i have all of my collection described, this is soooo much fun. im such a geek.....]

Artist: Damage vs NRS
Track: f*ck em all
Album: VA - new blood

what a amazing track. its dark, evil, and most importanly insanely fast. it has a subtle build up that lets u know what u are in for. it plays around with the base and drum a lot and has few synthlines in. Its a track for jumping around like a squirrel on speed. i heard that at the last party i went to; the whole crowd went absolutely nuts...

Hi Konsti, that Damage vs NRS seem overwhelming, but I'll give it a try.

Got any "funky psy" recommendations ???

ravehead : "warez" is a downloadable software that you can use to get all sorts of video, music files etc I've downloaded 20 year old metallica songs. It's a file sharing network. what you find depends on what other people are sharing.
I've found a heap of rare trance tracks, live dj sets etc on there (yes I'm a music freak) tongue
Everyone that hooks up 2 it chooses folders to "share" so that people can download dstuff off them & vice versa.... just make sure you have a good anti virus programme, fire wall etc & a fast internet connection helps to find out more check out www.warez.com

Damn fine album New Blood is, i especially like :

Artist: Tickets
Track:Debt

My recommendation for track of the month would be:

Artist: Tickets
Track:The Pre Determination
Album: The Turning

Blinder of a tune, dark & twisted and another brillant all round excellent psychedelic album biggrin

Could try Satifaction by Blanka.

But if you want serious mind bending twisted warped stuff try getting hold of an album called "Schizm"

Just because I'm an adult doesn't make me responsible.

Artist: central processing unit
Track: black mamba
Album: computer error

CPU rocks, i really like their style, but the only problem ive got with them is the fact that every second track they release sounds the same. Of course there are great exceptions such as "haight street freak" of their self titled album....
but this track, black mamba, is CPU at its best. it sounds like CPU but doesnt have the "same sh1t, different track name" feeling to it. its excellently fullon and has a great build-up.

7)
Artist: DJ Urri
Mix: live @ sobitie 3
Download: clickadiclickclick

good mix, in decent quality. its nice and funky, and suitable even for old school purists wink
whoever can tell me what track the bit ,starting at 18min40sec till 20min5sec, is from will get a cookie.
