im sure it's been mentioned before, but i can't really remember, Does any out there think that fire poi r over rated? and what were peoples first experiences of fire poi like?

Yep, it's definately over-rated.

It's nice every so often but I find it's rarely worth the extra hassle involved.
I see spinning as an end in itself, not the means to an end.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

Ive never spun fire poi and im perfectly happy.

I probably will eventualy spin fire poi, but they're so expensive and so much more work.

Besides, i prefer the look of glow poi. biggrin

I enjoy spinning glow, socks and tails more than firepoi in the means of the spinning itself.

Fire I mostly use for show and to impress "recruits".. So that is the most spectacular.

Fire poi do verily rock, as do most poi. The fun of spinning and what's associated with it, particularly much of the company, I'd say is better than a singular sort of prop by far, but swinging burning lumps around my body to the accompanying sound is _ace_ fun too. Not overrated, no.

I think fires overated, sure it looks good but in the end its still spinning no better no worse its just something different on the end f your poi.
