Hey all well i decided my intro thread kinda sucked so though i'd redo it!and instead of all the rubbish i wrote in the last one i figured i could also use this as a wee diary aswell!

Anyay, its wednesday,3 days after fal4 and i'm still recovering!Had such an amazing weekend, and met soooooo many lovely people(you all know who you are),and at the mo i'm sat at me bros pooter, bored, waiting for brad and mags to pick me up to take me to tonights eden gig(they're late as usual-no suprises there!).

Started talking to my boss today(i work at a design warehouse) about the possibility of tarting up my morris minor with sum lettering and stuff,as i wann start up a sort of mini entertainment consultancy.....

Basically...this is the idea

I figured with minimal cost i could get sum advertising done(business cards, yellow pages etc.)to promote me and the guys that i perform with,in the hope that we'd get more regular gigs, and then i thought about setting up a website for said company...

However...then i thought people from all over the world are gonna see this and we're all down in cornwall....so here's where the idea comes in.... I thought that maybe we could compile a list of different hoppers no.s,from all around the country...abroad even...so that if someone called me up from say lancashire i could simply search thru the list and see whos closest!?

That way any gigs that us guys down here couldn't get to,wouldn't be completely lost and then everyone gets to make loads of money...WOOPEE!!!

Well its just an idea anyway but i'd appreciate sum feedback!

Love to all for today!!

Hello again . . . thought I'd make you fell less lonely by writing something here . . .

Nice to meet you at Falmouth, the face painting was excellent

<= look at how pretty you made me look . . .

Its a good idea about the business, but as I am sure you are aware there are loads of things to consider . . .
like how do you assess how good/reliable/friendly people are, you would have to vet people as you would want your company to send out a certain level of performer, and gain your company respect for providing good performers. . . just a thought to consider

As to how i would vet ppl, most hoppers prob have some sort of video that they're on,also money can be a great motivator,so i think as far as reliability is concerned,no-ones gonna turn down £100 or whatever for doing a couple of hours work doing something they love.as for friendliness......theyre hoppers!!Speaks for itself! Also i met a lot of ppl at fal4,most of which are easily good enough to perform, but for ppl that i havn't met i would ask for some sort of proof of skills(video, reference from a hopper i do know, etc.)
Like i said the website is only at ideas stage for now, will be gettin quotes etc. over the next few days so watch this space!!!

But please, all that are interested either post hereor PM me!!! hug devil

Though I am not sure where I stand being the wittle matty watty . . I am sure I am meant to have some sort of image that I am meant to protect or something confused . . .
The thought about vetting of spinners was just something you would have to think about, not something that was impossible. Keep up the good work girlie...

so in true female stylee i spent my 30min lunch break wisely and maxed out my credit card!

anyways......spent the afternoon tryin to sort out business cards etc.for my new idea...see above.....and then went back to my parents...again(god i love them but they don;t half do my head in sometimes)....sat down at the pooter and started writin crap...here...so thats my day so far, performing at eden again tonite, and we're gonna try and blag the Dohl Foundation(the musicians performing there), to come and drum with us while we spin fire....ooooohhhhhh that'd be so good!

Hey Kels- I listened and watched Sigur Ros for you tonight- did you get the transmission? biggrin

Can't say I really understand what you're going through, but don't worry, it'll pass before you know it, and someday, you'll look back fondly at the insignificance of it all smile Assuming of course, that's what you want.

Cheery's good, miss! But you know. Feeling low's like fluffing your pillow for feeling good later wink

Highlights! Well, Amina (the girl quartet they perform with) in my opinion practically made the gig as good as it was. Experimental music involving string quartet stuff, not to mention glasses with water attached to pickups, as well as angelic bells and a musical saw! Sigur Ros did well with Untitled 1,2 and 4, and at the end of Svefn G Englar, (I was standing in the second front row practically.. then moved closer towards the end) some girl just fainted two people away from me, and the next thing you know, people were calling 'security security!' and she was lifted like a rag doll over the front barrier and taken away.. End of the concert was great too! Not sure what the track was.. think it starts with 'n', but the lead guitar was being played with a bow, the bass guitar was being played with a drumstick, Amina was string quarteting like there was no tomorrow, and the drummer and keyboardist were just going all out... Good stuff biggrin

Oh poo. I was supposed to say it was crap wasn't I? ubbangel

Have you ever heard/seen the blue man group?they're not really that much like sigur ros,but there are fantastically atmospheric and inspirational performers.....you should check them out,i have a feeling you'll appreciate what they do!pillow was fully fluffed, and i am now enjoying all the snuggly goodness of being happy!
So who ya going to see next then(not that i mind if you go and see any more of my idols wink)

Yup, I know blue man group! Haven't had the chance to see them live yet though.. Next? hmm.. don't think I'll be seeing any big tickets anytime soon- I'll need to put money away for Adelaide ubblove and also potentially bite the bullet go temporarily broke and also get a loan from my folks and make a ridiculous investment on a ridiculously expensive camera lens ubblove ubblove

Not sure I'm going to be cool enough to warrant 19 hugs all in a row..

gettin a loan from ya folks sounds like a good idea, art is a very necessary form of expression, and photography is a form of art,and if you don't get a new lense you may start to develope cabin fever,or even worse----A TAIL!!!!

Funny you should say that! Was walking down the main street in Melbourne CBD a month or so ago, and it was like camera shop next to camera shop next to camera shop! And not like those little 'we sell film' sorta stores, but proper shops with white lenses in the windows. And I actually did make the comment to the friend I was with, that those window displays were like porn for photographers ubblol

Come to think of it.. if I get the new lens, I could go out and become a proper pornographer!

As for going to England.. to take photos, especially of some of my favourite spinners- it's a bit of a dream, considering how long it takes to swim there! wink
