i don't see what the big deal is....
IT'S A BOOK!!!!
implying that it is a book aboot
satanic witchery that little children shouldn't be reading is stupid.....as i said before.....
IT IS A BOOK!!!!
what is the harm in children beliving in a world of fantasy, and magical beings.....
that is what is keeping them from in front of the t.v. at least they are learning how to read bettah....
the other day i saw a buch of idiotic christians
bringing back the age old "hitler book burning"
on harry potter books....i'm sorry but that is
the destruction of educational materials isn't that illegal or something????
and beside how on earth can a book aboot a child that learns he is a wizard one day and think it is the coolest thing in the world; change children into satanic devil worshiping mindless zombies the whole thing is crap.....

What are your views?????

Just a related thought...

According to Webster, Magic is defined as "controlling or affecting the natural world in a supernatural way."
A Miracle is defined as "an act or happening atributed to a supernatural source, a wonderful thing"

Are they really so different?

And as far as science being superior to magic? Uh uh. One of the reasons I need magic in my life is to counter the bare and cold facts thatmake up science: I'm looking out my window at the changing leaves, and thinking how amazing the whole scene is. Then science sneaks in and tells me that carotenoids (pigments in the photosynthesizing cells) are what make the leaves red, orange, yellow and purple. In the fall when the photosynthesis process ends and the weather changes cause the leaf membranes to trap sugars, the carotenoids are no longer eclipsed by the green chlorophyl. Nice & sterile explanation, huh? Now I let Magic take over and it tells me that there is a squadron of Faeries with little paint buckets, hovering over the leaves, toiling day & night to literally paint the landscape I see before me...I can;t remember why they leave the firs alone, but I know there's a story behind that, too.

Now ask yourself, which theory is more fun? Better yet, more provable?

Dance like it hurts; Love like you need money; Work like someone is watching.

Never criticize someone until you've walked a mile in their shoes. That way, when you DO criticize them, you are a mile away, and you have their shoes.

Well by that definition, no but you can generalise a dog and a rose into the simple definition of "thing", at that level a rose and a dog are the same!

I think that that church is doing more harm than good.
