Well this is my 200th post! About time I wrote an intro then I guess.

What can I say, Hi everyone!

I've been spinning for ages on and off, but I've only really taken it up in the last year. I do Poi, staff, toss and contact juggling, and I’ll try out anything I can!

At the moment I'm devoting all my time that I’m not at work (and most of the time I am at work) to helping Dunc with PLAY.

Anyway, that's enough for now,

C'ya and thanks everyone for being part of the best community I’ve found on the internet! hug

Hello Sym! I'm sorry u had a crappy day frown Some people are just strangely self-obsessed and so superficial they can't seem to see past the Starbucks iced-latte in their hand... sad. But then again, there are also people like the guys demonstrating outside your office, and you smile and all the lovely HoPers... just think of what we could all do if we set our minds to it - Each one of us can achieve so much!

Big hugs! hug hug kiss

You said happy birthday to me on Friday silly! But thanks again smile

As if Monday morning weren't bad enough, I found out this morning that a friend killed himself over the weekend frown

He was one of the most intelligent people I've ever met, very very skilled (he was a programmer who worked on quite a few high profile web sites and projects) and I loved hear him talk with amazing passion on subjects that he felt strongly about: almost everything.

I didn't know him all that well, but it's so shocking and sad that he couldn't see any other way out frown

That's horrible Sym... hug

It's sad that it seems that you can't have talented intelligent people without them having some sort of inner demons that will drive them to the edge.

No matter how well you knew them it is always a shock when they die in any circumstance...

This happened to me the weekend before I left for here.

It kind of scared me more than anything else that somebody I respected would feel that low that he would do that. Its also so shocking, because its not something you can ever see coming, and a lot harder to accept than any other form of death because they did it to themself.

I hope you are dealing with it okay.

Big hugs. hug

Thanks maus hug

I know what you mean: how can someone that you respect so much feel that low? I know it happens, and when people are feeling down it's very very hard to break out of the cycle, but it's still horrid.

Dealing with it ok? Who knows, it's not like there is a 'right' and 'wrong' way to deal with these things is there? I have no belief in any form of after life and I think that valuing the memories you have of someone is important. With him, because he was a very good programmer I think of him when I solve some programming challenge.

smile
