right. I'm ageing rapidly so this thread needs an edit.
NAME: birgit
LOCATION: edinburgh
AGE: 27
JUGGLES: balls, clubs, poi, a tiny bit of staff, diabolo and devilsticks but has not much time to practice and screwed-up wrists at the moment
HAS: been playing poi since autumn 2004
DOES: a phd in toxicology
DOES (when not working/surfing HoP): play guitar, play bass guitar, sing, be outstandingly crap at pool, travel
LIKES: rock/pop/indie music, soup, stuff with melted cheese, meeting strangers on trains and airports, ale-testing, parties with silly themes, raspberries, strawberries, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, rambling, movies/comedy, random silliness, fantasy books, black and red clothes, ...
ALSO LIKES: the Edinburgh jugglers and Beltane-people
WOULD LIKE TO: be a vampire for a day/night, travel more, have about 10 hours more in the day, have more snow in winter and less rain in summer, own a chocolate tree

sorry Ry, more World Domination plans will have to wait until my brain works again... so... tomorrow I'll have the physio appointment and then I'll get completely wasted for 2 days with the other Firepoints, so next week, if I manage to sleep more than a few hours per night, the brain will be back.
And now to the big big big big BIG message:
I have a new toy!!!!!!!!!
He's called Andrew, is 1.30 metres long, and a tiny bit camp, because bonzai put some pink tape on him. Not girly pink though, masculine pink as I've been told. Gonna have lots of fun with him at the weekend, he's going to get fire-christened

Good to see you (and Andrew!) on Saturday, if only briefly.
I'm still broken after Uberstaff, but it was soo much fun. Have all sorts of moves going through my head now, pity they don't quite work in my hands yet.

Ummmm... this weekend's gonna be:
Friday: Beltane costumes.
Saturday: 6 hours in the lab, Beltane busk and party (no I don't know how to fit it in but as always I'll try)
Sunday: Beltane walkthrough and further Beltane practice.
Andrew? hmmmm... I may know him but I'm not sure. But yes, the Überstaff party and meeting everyone was cool, I'm thinking about having my birthday party in that tunnel as well
With fire and drums and everything...
I've survived on an average of 4.5 hours of sleep for 3 weeks now, but at least I've finished most of my job as full-time entertainer, translator and food and tour guide for the parents. I didn't think it'd be so hard, but it's mostly the constant switching back and forth between English and German and their wonderful faith that I know where they want to go for food, sightseeing etc that's been a huge strain! It was lovely to have them here though, and I shall miss them when they're leaving tomorrow.
I think world domination plans may have to lay dormant for a bit longer though, I'm completely drained of energy (and no Ry, that doesn't lose me followers, I'll just tell them I'm away on business while I'm relaxing in the pool with my 5 favourites).

oh THAT Andrew... I was thinking of a person and since I know so many Andrews and even 3 or 4 juggling- and spinning-related ones I got very confused!! 
Haven't seen Andrew in a while, some Überstaffers were babysitting him, then played with him and left him at Dalmeny Street!

Have you got him back yet? I left bowls and spoons in Dalmeny St cos my brain had stopped working by the end of Sunday.

It's from 11.30 to 2 pm at the Mound, on Saturday, and I'm not quite sure WHAT it is but there'll be some random spinning and some organised spinning I think and drumming and people running around with buckets to get money.
I'll have to look up the capital Umlauts, I only know how to make the small ones on a British keyboard...
