sorry not much help redface I'm sorry.

I still suggest making them for yourself though wink. as for equipment shops in Man no chance frown you can get fire poi and staff if you look hard enough (home design store and aflecks) but they are not of the best quality redface. Get your stuff form HoP or just make it yourself smile in my experience the best way ubbangel you can just make them to suit you, as in how heavy, how long, the type of handles and all the stuff. ubbloco

chain and rope confused What sort of flag poi are they?

Just get a 2 big squares of fabric and spin them! You can sew on whatever hadles take your fancy and then get used to them and tune future designs to your liking. They can be triangle too if you like that sort of thing but square (or rectangle) is much better IMO.

You may want to attach some weight to the opposite corner from the handle but that's easy enough with extra material put into a lump and sewn into place.

If you do a search for flag poi vids it might come up with something you can see to inspire your design. But basically they're big flaps of material you hold onto and spin. Sometimes I just use the tea towels from the kitchen mid washing-up if I'm bored biggrin

there are some like that but they have very short length of chain (rope whatever) that link into the corner of the flag, no more than an inch or two long. But I suppose it's not a bad idea, if you attached material to the top and bottom of your fire chains and took the wicks off they might work quite well but I don't think theyd spin like flag poi or look quite as nice in the air. Good luck on it, don't forget to let us know how you get on smile
