Well, howdy folks!!
Thought I'd just say Hi to you all and introduce myself... as you do....
My name's Ed.
Time to re-do this intro page, methinks...
Well. I'm now Older than my Teeth, but not quite as old as my Fingernails... also known as 23.
I have many interests. I have OCCJD (Obsessive, Compulsive Contact Juggling Disorder
) I spin poi, Attempt a bit of Staff, I devilstick... I've recently discovered the Joy of Urban Dance, and am trying to incorporate it into my Contact Juggling... Illusion is Great! I like straight lines. I like robotics. I like isolation, and I Love with a capital 'L' Hugs!! I love to be silly and play, after all, that's what Life is all about. I love to learn and experience new things, and am constantly Striving to improve my spinning/manipulation. I love to use '...' way too much... 
My Taste in Music is quite extensive... I like pretty much everything, from Metal to Hip Hop, Psytrance to Blues. My favourite at the moment is chilled out electronic music, anything with a funky beat to dance to. Can't really pick out a specific band or group, as I like too many of them...
As for film interests, I like things that make me scared. ANd things that make me laugh... and especially films that make you lean your head to one side, whilst doing this:
and saying Huh? to yourself for the first hour or so, and then suddenly Click! it all makes sense.I love to drink lots of tea, not really a coffee person, but now and again is cool. I challenge you to make Coffee to my Specifications!!
As for the Damn Marmite, Vegemite, Nutella question... They're all OK I wouldn't go so far as to favour one... I believe in equal opportunity and all that... However, none come close to a cup of Chai with a double Brandy in it...
I can be found in many places, Mainly in Guildford during Academic Holidays, At in Hull during term times, For I am in my second year of studying Spanish at Uniservity. I have recently found I have a penchant for hanging out with some weird, juggly, spinny people in Hastings, and can now and again be found there for a week or two of silliness and spinning...
So yeah, That's what I do. I'm also Sweet and Innocent.

Hmmm...
I'm sure I can teach you something...
It's easier to teach in person, though!
But I can give you some starter pointers...
1) start off by learning to hold a ball in 'the cradle' (in case you don't know what that is, It's the back of your hand) There are a few types, But the main two are the three finger and two finger types. I find the two finger easier to play with.
The 3 finger one is easy to hold a ball: You basically want to balance the ball over your middle finger. Hold your hand out flat, palm down, and lower your middle finger. place the ball between index and ring fingers. Voila! 3 finger cradle!
2 finger cradle: is like sticking two fingers up at someone, but with your hands flat. So that your hands look like the hands of 'The Penguin' from Batman Returns. Sit the ball between the knuckles of your index and middle finger. This is the cradle easiest for butterfly.
Now practice pitching the ball straight up in the air and catching it in your cradle again. DON'T FORGET TO CUSHION THE BALL AS IT LANDS, OTHERWISE YOU WILL HURT YOUR KNUCKLES.
Make sure you do this in wall plane.
AGain, staying in wall plane, turn your hand over, so that it's palm up and facing away from your shoulder. The ball wants to sit in the centre of your palm. Practice pitching and catching again, but don't close your fingers around the ball.
Now throw from your cradle, and catch in your palm. Then throw from your palm, and catch in your cradle. Keep practising this, and make the throw smaller and smaller, until you're just rolling the ball over the tips of your fingers.
That's how to learn basic Butterfly.

I should really request some knowledge in return from you...
After all, someone as talented as yourself can teach me LOADS!! I could do with some more Poi moves... and as for staff, I'm a bit pants really...
Hope you understand the pointers I gave above... Just remember to keep an eye on your planes, and you'll be fine.
Another thing that you will find useful if you're gonna be learning from me, is armrolls.
Ball held in cradle, arm parallel to your body/wall plane, Simply raise your fingers so that your hand creates a little ramp to start the ball moving. Now the ball should roll down the back of your arm. Try and get it to roll over your elbow, and then catch it in the cradle of the other hand. Repeat and rinse as desired.
Now try on the other side of your arm. Sit the ball in your palm, and roll it towards your elbow and back again. The way you hold your arm is very important here. Start off with your arm outstretched in front of you, palm up. Bend your elbow a bit, but keep your palm flat. Now, roll the ball from your palm towards your elbow, and as the ball reaches the halfway point down your forearm, you want to lower your hand, and raise your elbow. Or in other words, swap over the levels, so that your elbow is the height that your hand was at, and your hand is at the level your elbow was. This will slow the ball down, and when it has stopped rolling, it will go back down towards your hand. Again, when just past the halfway point towards your hand, swap the heights of hand and elbow again, so that the ball comes to a nice smooth stop on your open palm.
Try walking the ball along both inside forearms: Right palm to right elbow, pass smoothly onto left palm and then up to left elbow, repeat, rinse as desired.
And if you can get a stall on your inside elbow, I will be most impressed!!
To get the stall, try balancing the ball there first, so that you get used to it sitting there. Now, when doing the above arm roll, instead of creating a ramp so that the ball can go back to your hand, let the ball keep going, and when it reaches your inside elbow, you need to cushion the ball. Do this by pulling your shoulder into your body, or use your elbow to follow the ball slightly. This will slow it down dramatically and bring it to a stop.
Get these by PLAY, and I will be most impressed, an able to teach you loads!
The only problem being that CJ is difficult to teach over T'internet like this. It involves lengthy descriptions that not everyone will understand anyway. I hope this hasn't confused you or sent you to sleep! But, good luck, and should you get stuck, gimme a shout!!
One more thing: don't worry about not being able to get anywhere near a move straight away. CJ takes time and LOTS of Practice and patience. The key is to relax.

Not having a great day today...
I feel really lethargic and have done for the past few days. I can't be arsed to do anything. I actually had to force myself to do some CJ this afternoon. Not often that happens, But I'm glad I did. I managed to get this around the neck roll I'm trying to nail three times in succession!! That cheered me up!! I even managed to get it from the left hand as well. Just not every time, though. In fact, Nowhere near every time...
Summer holidays are getting Uber Crap. I miss my friends. I miss Nucleopoi, I miss having things to do and people to do them with. There's nothing to do here, stuck in the middle of nowhere, with my friends all living so far away that seeing them is very expensive. When I do have work here, I get into an even worse state. I get into a routine of get up, go to work, finish work, go to bed, repeat, rinse etc... I end up going crazy, being stuck in the same place 24/7, doing the same thing, day in, day out... Yeah, playing with poi etc is fun, but it's way better when you have someone else there with you! I get bored after a while...
Anyway, If I have seemed a bit grumpy today, I'm sorry. That'll be why. I guess I'm just in a bit of a crap mood and have nothing else to convert my energy to.

Take the time to build a wonderful routine, get things done that you've been putting off - be productive and healthy and smile. It's not boring - it's just a different pace of life, with a different set of inputs. Instead of distractions you have time and space and should make the most of it! And come to Spitz on tues cos i think I shall be there and you need to show me some CJ in real life...... that'll break up the days for you

Productivity isn't usually one of my natural traits... I think what I need is a good (gentle) Kick up the Ass!!I'll try for Spitz on Tuesday... Maybe speak to a PyroWilliam about staying at his place for the night... I've been meaning to go for ages, and he's been nagging me too...

mmmmmmmm wiggling vid - sounds good
(but never going to be taken in the right way by approximately half the population........). We could do a Wiggling Tutorial vid too So - Spitz? Then you can teach me some things in real life - I reckon it's gotta be easier........
