i was just reminissing
over all the things i have broken while poi/jug/staffin and stuff..3 pairs of glasses
a large ammount of light bulbs
a slightly smaller ammount of light shades
drinkin glasses
my mates nose
6 devilstix
several swivels, chains and clips
my bloddy aerotech's
dented my van standing on the roof playing
what have you broken/damaged while playing
its all about the fun fun fun fun and more fun...

I have broken:
Countless light bulbs,
A Stereo,
A shelf,
Drinking glasses,
Didnt break my man hood but it felt like it on a few occasions
,Skin,
Chiped a tooth (not myne tho lol)

I have dislocated my knee and arsn has broken his ankle.
Other than that the standard lightbulbs etc.

I almost fractured my bottom-most left rib when I was using my first practice poi - consisting of bondaged up bean bag puppies, wrapped in a vaguely ball shape. The effective weight of these puppies was about ten or so pounds when they were in motion. Sore arms and collar, let me tell you.
Other than that deep bruising that still gets complaints at times... Nothing. I've hit plenty of things trying to learn staff, fewer things with poi. But never broken anything.
Although after showing a friend of my brother what poi was, he grabbed his 'chucks and immediately displayed he could do similar. And immediately busted an illuminated light bulb about a two feet above his head.
There really is no explanation for this painful phenomenon. I passed out cold. Then I died. - Ach Mein Gott, issue 1.

So far i broke one light shade as my furry poi went straight through the section . Havent been able to break anything else casue im banned from using anything but socks in the house.

No actual objects, but my pride has been smashed to pieces on several occasions

Last year on December the 25th i broke one of my dads set of diamond sherry glasses
i still say it wasn’t all my fault as my sister left it on the floor by the sofa. Diabolos seem to be drawn to breakables :'( fire leads to creation

So far.....I have broken two drinking glasses (both filled with red wine at the time).....I have bent my eye glasses....and I've broken out a lightbulb in the kitchen light (and shocked myself trying to get it out)......

I broke the corner off the best pair of sunglasses I've ever owned spinning for my little cousin.
I nearly broke my own nose spinning unlit fire-poi for the first time.
Got a none-too-serious black eye from training poi after the ball went around my head and right into my eye socket. That hurt.
I don't spin in doors because I'm accident-prone anyway, so other than my pride nothing else has really been broken by the Poi of Destruction.

I smack my bedroom lights on a daily basis - only blown one bulb so far but it didnt smash luckily. I keep hitting things but nothing breaks (Will try harder next time! haha) xxx

so it looks like light bulbs and nuts get hit most...
the dimand sherry glasses is the most costly thing so far...
I was playing at a bar in gilli islands, standing on a table on a balcony swinggin tennis ball poi with snap lights wrapped around, to some excelent music and one of the balls broke away, bounced on 4 tabels missing loads of people, off the balcony into the pool....
don't let your kids swing on a table on a balcony and drink redbull.....
its all about the fun fun fun fun and more fun...

lol.. well grody, just be glad youre not a guy, cuz i think that hurts just a wee bit more than smacking poi into your boobs
actually im very careful with my toys.. i dont think ive ever broken anything spinning.. *ponders*
oh wait, i broke one of the small sticks on my flower sticks twice but thats it.. no noses, tv's, not even light bulbs.. i have come very VERY close to smashing my 5 ft mirror several times, but luckily it never got that far.. discoverer of phat and poigling

oh yess.. just remembered the most anoying and by far the worst thing to break while playing with any toys.....
my uv light tube.. done it at least twice in my time...

hmm... i don't have a problem with the light bulbs as such, it;s more the glass lampshade i have that could be a problem, i've hit it a few times but it's survived poi so far, one sharp blow from the end of my brothers bass guitar though and it was in pieces...

erm... knocked myself out once with tennis ball poi,
i thought id fractured my wrist with mikes staff but as it turns out im just a pussy [ well, i cudnt move it or my fingers!! n it did swell to twice its size then next day tho!!]
and set 2 hats on fire [interestin consequences if i wasnt wearin one... ]
i think thats it...

A black eye with heavy duty Poi, a lampshade that was part of a 3 piece set that cost £37 and had to be mailed from Wiltshire. >< I've gone through several sets of Devil-Sticks, then caught on by using a stronger type of dowel. I set my trousers on fire at WOMAD this year. And I would guess at about 8 pairs of Glow-Sticks on strings nicked by Chav's.
Should be everything...so far.

yesterday.
boss even asked me if i was in a fight.
I should have said yes, it might have sounded less strange than.

its all about the clean planes a missing chunk is a small price to pay
when i was young and foolish and thought that it was all about speed i managed to shear my 2nd metacarple in half doing a shotgun and catching the end of the staff in my hoodies pocket, you should have seen the look on the drs face when he saw the xray and then the look of total confusion when i explained how i did it.

I should have just ate my food but damn I was
gonna get my new move if it was the last thing
I did! So the dinner plate was left, waiting on
the edge of the table...
So at the time I was in a tiny bedsit, and losing plane
on a turn I struck the plate on its edge. It didn't break!
But it flipped up and over, the food slid off onto the floor
and the plate managed another turn before landing on top
of the food the right way up!
Almost worth it..

BamBam we'll have to get you some body armour to spin in.
I've killed a few lamp shades with poi. I dented an old mans head at my friends wedding with an aero tech ball. He was very nice about it (thankfully). I've blacked my eye with poi and with clubs and I've cut my arm with a diablo.
I think thats about it.
Oh and if my neighbour asks you about the glass panel in his greenhouse being different to the other glass..... it wasn't me. Shhhhhhhhhhhh!

The only thing that I've really broken is my concentration...
Oh wait, unless "the Law" counts; spinning fire in a public park in SF is not entirely legal.
