I am Beefcakes', some of you may know me.
I am knew to the forums but not knew to Home of Poi.
I am usually seem to be a happy person, but in actual fact am usually completely void of any emotion. At the moment I feel like my head is between a sledgehammer and an anvil, I have the flu, and I tore a ligament in my knee on Tuesday night.
But this is not why I am angry.
I am not angry at this great site.
But I am angry at The Scouting Movement of Australia, for putting a BAN on FIRE TWIRLING whilst at any scouting activity...
Venturer Scouts in Victoria were planning to break the world record of the largest number of twirlers twirling in the one location at the same time...
They are contemplating letting us fire twirl if we pass a Fire Safety course and a Fire Twirling Safety course...
The really interesting thing about this is the reason they placed the ban was because Fire Twirling is supposedly dangerous, but the Scouting Assosciations own First Aid Statistics show that more people are injured horse riding, even though more people fire twirl at Scout activities than they horse ride, and the fire twirling happens on a much more regular basis.
Anyway, that's a small amount of anger extracted.
I am glad to be able to express my opinion with other people of common interest.

I dont think your alone beefcake, there were some pretty big discussions about that subject around here a while ago, im sure you could dig them up and get in contact with a few others that feel your pain.

I remember this discussion a while back.
Welcome to HoP Beefcakes ... at least they're thinking about allowing people to spin if taking the course. Last I heard it was a total ban.

The big problem now is that I've been put in charge of organizing all the courses etc. Means I have to think...
Someone kick me in the head to get my brain started.
It's been too long since I last twirled, can't wait till tonight. Me and some mates heading into the city to spin up that [censored]!
