Well, now that I'm close to post number 300 I thought I'd do an intro thread... it seems like I'll be hanging around for a while now

Hello all... Kidnap plans eh?!!! Splendid... I have no problems with that
Righto.
Play - ooohhhh, what a weekend!! A field full of wonderful, warm, friendly people, spinning things and grinning at each other - what more could anyone need?!
I've said it before, but you guys rock my world. Seriously, I've had one of the best summers of my life thanks to you all.
Some people I spoke to a little, some I spoke to lots - everyone was hugged indiscriminately and everyone played a really important part in making the weekend exceptional.
If there needed to be an example of this, it came with the massive community effort on Sunday morning... Kit, Steve, Dom, Dunc and everyone else who was there - well done. Terrible circumstances handled with love.
(I've been in touch with the lady today and she said despite his apologies and grovellings, she's not going back - so far so good!!! Perhaps this lil fest saved a life!)
Anyways, it's been a real pleasure and honour to meet you all and I love spending time in your company. From inspiration to madness, to the sense of community and love, and most of all respect - it's just fantastic to be able to call you all friends.
Flid: I'm fairly sure we hugged and said hellos. I was the one with the plaits, glasses and purple hat
Strugz: it was good to see you too mister... take care til the next time. Hope you find your direction
Vixen: It was great to see you too, you radiate positive energy and it's always a pleasure to be around you. Hope to see you again soon
Steve/2bags: I have to talk to Diana, but hopefully we'll be getting you over soon... can't wait
Gayle: Great to see you too lady, sorry we didn't get to talk much (shamefully, I didn't get to speak to the ubertent much at all... I was doing worky stuff on Saturday and then bimbling around for the rest of the time). But footage of Mr Durbs eh?! Muh... send it to me!!! Hope to see you soon (will PM my addy) x
Helz: It was lovely to see you last night, and we have to meet up again. You're a strong and beautiful woman and your wiggling is inspiring I'll get your mobile number from Lisa tomorrow. Take care xx
So then... after Play Dom, Drew, DsAds, Tony and I missioned back to London for another couple of fantastic days - I'm only just home.
On Monday, Drew and I had a marvellous conversation (thank you) and he let me have a look at his book - which is going to be amazing, btw. It was a pretty sleepy day as we recovered from Play fun.
Yesterday (tuesday) the sun shone in London and the marvellous Dom, sadly feeling too ill for work, kindly showed me around Camden and the Tate Modern. My god, what inspiration for costumes, design, performance and movement.
(I am, of course, referring to Camden market as opposed to the Tate - puh, since when is a glass of water an oak tree?!!)
After watching some excellent live music (for free!) by the Thames, we headed off to Spitz. It was great to be there, and great to see so many Hoppers out. Thanks so much to everyone who hugged me back
And now I'm home... feeling a bit sad to be back, but utterly inspired and delighted by a marvellous time - and knowing that I'll see you all again sometime.
The next few weeks are going to be crazy here as I try to set up a little business and get things established... wish me luck and I'll probably be asking for lots of advice
Anyways, I need to make a few personal hellos here, so thanks for reading:
Dom: you're a legend... I couldn't have had this time without you and it was totally appreciated. Missioning around London with you was so much fun, even if my wee legs struggled to keep up with yours... nice work on the 'no post count' thingme and don't forget to send me the rudest PMs you can find (). Safe travels and happy adventuring - see you next year
Drew: my lovely guru. Even despite losing the occasional Gurupoint (for girly screaming) it was wonderful to talk with you and spend time with you. You're an inspiration and I can't wait to see the performance (and read the book). I'll see you soon
Durbs: muh. You're so cute Tee hee hee. 'Nuff said, methinks. Thanks for all the hugs, it was so good to spend time with you and I'm going to miss you lots Take care m'lovely xxx
Ros: lady, we finally got to chat And it was great... I'm so sorry you ended up feeling ill though... but I hope you're rested and recovered now... I'll go check out your intro thread. Miss you xxx
Le chat blue: Bond, eh?! Dammit, you make a good one Thanks for the extended hugging and wiggling and general tomfoolery over Play. It was lovely to see you again and hopefully I'll see you somewhere soon xx
Mcp: It was so lovely to see you - those leather hand grips are wicked and I may have to steal the idea. The texan has had good influence! Maybe I'll see you soon too x
Skully, Jon, Bov, Simian, Ed (LTC), Pyrowill and the combined forces of the Ubertent: Lads, I'm poo. I'm so, so sorry I didn't get to talk to you more... just random huggings as we passed. I hope you all had a splendid time, like I did, and even though we didn't have the big talks I wanted to, just seeing you there made it really special. Skully, I miss you lots and dammit lady you look good in a tutu.
DsAds and Tony: it was a pleasure to meet and travel with you guys. Adam, you are amazingly talented and really lovely, thanks for the hugs. Tony, thanks for being so friendly at Spitz and for making me feel welcome, it was greatly appreciated
Lisa and Cole: Great to see you two again... the show was amazing and watching you two play is always inspirational. Sorry I didn't get to see you last night Lisa, but I think we'll be meeting up soon xx
DevKev: Wow. You rock mister. Musical devilstick?!!! Jugglepoi?!!! Is there no end to your talents?!! It was a pleasure to meet you
Mags: Hey sweetness. I'm glad you made it up, it was good to see you and you looked great all painted up. I hope you have a great time at Ros's and things start to settle down soon. Love you lots xx
Nate: Glad you honoured us with your presence, post-EJC. Fair play for making the journey Hope you had a great time (though you should be nicer to Mags, cos he rocks, y'know).
Gothfroggie: It was incredible to see you at Play and looking so well (I think I said enough about that ) I hope you had a great time xxx
Frodo: Nice hair Good to see you again darlin, wicked show
Kit: It was great you were there on Saturday night lady, I think we did good. Take care and I'll see you soon xxx
Dunc and George: Wow. You guys did a fantastic job holding it all together... Dunc, thank you very much for a brilliant weekend. You pulled it off and Play has most definitely made it onto the calendar!! Congratulations. George, I hope everything is going well - can't wait to hear your news. Well done lady for handling all the added stress
Marnie: Lol, what a surprise to see you there!!! It was great to see you... enjoy the rest of your travels and let me know when you're back in Belfast
Love and hugs also to Andrea (PM you soon lady) and Nick, Andy, Burning Dan and the Irish crew - I'll be in touch soon - miss you guys.
To Lisa and Mo-seph... le sigh. Have a marvellous time at Burning Man, I hope you guys have lots of fun and take care. I'll see you when you get home.
Take care m'lovely friends.

Hello m'lovelys
Am finally home after a crazy few days... I spent the weekend prostituting myself (otherwise known as fire dancing for nightclubs).
Yeush, the amount of lunatic drunken people who wander directly into your space. And bad hecklers?! Christ, we were in a little town called Kells and one fool, hearing my northern accent, asked me if I was in the IRA. Charming.
Worse still was the music... being a small town with one nightclub they decided it was acceptable to play the Grease megamix. I'd just lit up and had to dance to Summer Lovin'.
For shame
But it was a great weekend apart from that - I met up with a friend I haven't seen in a while and we danced and it was fun.
I also made a new friend - a therapist/healer who works at a retreat outside Kells - it's always inspiring when you meet someone so grounded and full of positive, good energy.
Then today, I watched lots more talented performers taking part in the Bangor busking festival. Diana and Colleen did really well to take part - it was their first time doing it and much fun was had.
So now I'm shattered. Time for a movie and bed
Megs and Jon and everyone else who likes the CD... thanks muchly
I made up two compilations that I wanted to give folk at Play - unfortunately I didn't get enough copied in time. Those who have it, can you copy it for anyone else near you who wants it?!
The songs came from music and compilations that lovely Hoppers sent to me after I lost my cds. You guys have great taste
It means I don't know the names of all the tracks, but I'll post what I know soon...
Much love, hugs and thanks to Pink, Beth and Mo-Seph for the music
Meg, hope you're well lady
Durbs, le sigh. Hope your shoulder is better, much love and hugs (and I think she meant dancing... what other type of wiggling is there?! )
Jon, hope to see you soon sweetness
Gayle, I'd love to see any footage you have... I will be doing all my Pm'ing tomorrow. Hope you're well
Take care
