Hello there everyone, I am new to the Home of Poi site, as well as to the Portland area, just thought I would send a friendly little hello to everyone and introduce myself. Is there a poi scene here in Portland? Any info would be appreciated

I am a 25 year old native Floridian that just decided to pick up and move to Portland and in with a friend I haven't seen in 5 years or so. As for poi I have been practicing or a bit over a year, though I have not kept up with it like I should, that will soon change however! Feel free to PM me if you so desire!

Hello Sami!!!!! This is soooo very cool.
We have a weekly non-fire meet on Sundays out at Laurel Hurst Park, that is when we don't get rained out, and you are just in time for our 3rd Sunday Fire and Drum Jam. We actually have 2 fire james every month during the summer, the 1st and 3rd Sunday. This will be the first 3rd Sunday for the summer, so PLEEEAAASSSSEEEEE come out and play.
Drop me a PM and I'll give you the details.

I am staying with friends and all I know is where our apartment is and where the Safeway food store by our house is. lol! Fair warning, I am super nervous about burning in front of others, though I have practied for over a year I have only burned 3 or 4 times, and I only know a few moves, need practice and new moves for sure =>
