Hi everybody!
Well, I registered on this forum a long long time ago, and never really did anything, but I think that's gonna change now.
By way of introductions...
I'm 19 yrs old, female, and been swinging for a couple o' years now, but I kinda feel like I've hit a wall. I haven't done fire yet, but oh man... I want to reeeeal bad. Expense, fear, and lack of places to swing are holding me back. Right now I'm just using some Zuni tailed poi and a home-made tennis ball set that I hook glowsticks up to. I also do a lot of contact juggling and some toss juggling (but I'm really not too good at the toss).
...Any contact jugglers out there???...
Aside from all that, I also fence, make jewelry, attend renaissance faire (in character & costume), and dabble in ice hockey. Basically, I'm on a constant battle against boredom.
I'll be a college student in Aug. after my 1 yr hiatus from education, so I'll be needing a source of income, and I'm thinking street performance. (I'll be near a beach). If anyone has any words of wisdom about busking, let me know!

HAPPY SWINGING!!!

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

Well, as far as the ren faire goes... it's a festival that replicates (more or less accurately) the renaissance period (english - i think). It's basically an excuse to go out into a slightly developed forested area and dress up like the 1600's (or like a something from lord of the rings - anything goes), drink, spend money, and act like an idiot.
And fencing is awesome. It's really fun, a great work out, and EXTREMELY challenging. I've been fencing about a year longer than swinging, but I think I'm actually better at the swinging.
