Hello,
My name, as you could probably tell, is Laura. I am based in Norwich, in the UK. Ummm, I hate doing these things, but I'll give it my best shot!
I'm 21 years old, been a professional magicain for 2 years, mainly doing Kids stuff, but I have a stage routine and I'm also working on some card and die stuff.
I am a keen fire-eater, been doing it for about a year and a half, and have only had 1 major burn and 2 little ones, so I guess thats not too bad, I am a real fire bug, so anything that can be done with flames is oh so appealing to me! I walk on and eat broken glass, which again, fun, but can lead to serious ammounts of blood spurting everywhere (never on my feet, always from my mouth sadly!)
I also enjoy sticking things down my throat, and considering I am learning how to sword swallow, this is a good thing to enjoy! I shove 6" nails up my nose and modelling balloons up my nose, down the back of my throat and out through my mouth (that ne is almost all way garunteed to get the *OMG I'm going to gag* reaction from some of the audience!)
I also do diablo, devil stick, very bad juggeling, and now (drum roll please) I have started Poi!
I have been working my way through the on-line lessons very slowly, and they are proving to be a great help! So I have come to basically be very selfish and learn lots of new stuff off you guys and not give anything back in return (well not with regards to Poi anyway) I am sure I have missed stuff out, but hey, it will help to keep some of my feminine mystique!

I was always scared with my mother's obsession with the good scissors. It made me wonder if there were evil scissors lurking in the house somewhere.

Thanks for the welcome guys! It was most, ummmm, welcoming!
I do just have to say, the emoticons you have on here are great! They are so much better than the ones on my other boards!
Oh, and as for the colour pink, I like it, not my favorite colour, I prefer purple anyday, but pinks okay when I am in a girly mood.

I'm at uni in colchester during term time. There seems to be a distinctive lack of fire spinners in east anglia, so i normally go down to London stuff. I did get a small group of people together on a weekly basis last summer, but most didn't do fire, and all whimped out at the first sign of coldness. If you fancy a spin sometime thou then let us know.

and i disagree, a throat is a two way deal, things that should not have gone down come up again, and thats natural. throats are cool for many reasons. anyway.

Hiya Laura, I live in Norwich and I have never heard of someone quite as amazing as you! You probably don't even come on here anymore because you are with the cirus travelling around or something but oh well!
I'm like 16 and just learning poi in the past hmmmm 3 months? I haven't learnt much at all really lol.
