Hi Folks:Well I just ordered 2 sets of Poi and the poi video and now I'm anxiously awaiting their arrival here inSane Diego.I've been lurking a bit and you seem to have a really good group of people here. Please allow me to introduce myself to the Poi clan.I am a former juggler and former member of the "Several San Diegans Who Juggle" juggling club. My juggling partner and I were once know as "Spatial Olympics". I can juggle 3 and 4 balls and flash 5. I can juggle 3 and 4 clubs and pass 7. (Torches too) I also do devil sticks (Flaming and non)But, as time went on the folks in the SSDWJ finished school and went away, or got married and went away, or got arrested and were taken away, so I havn't juggled with other people for about 7 years now. frownSo I ordered 2 sets of Poi for me and my wife (Shh! Don't tell her, it's a secret) I think it's going to be something new and cool for us to learn together. And it's also something we can easily bring with us camping and backpacking. Should be fun!I just wanted to say "Hi" to everyone and introduce myself. [Dru is still sitting on the doorstep waiting for his new Poi when he hears a rumour that Cantus doesn't trust him] frownHey, I can't help it that I was born here. Darn parents. Ya see, first thing is that God plays this cruel joke by making sure that the Rose Parade is always on a sunny warm day every year. So years ago my grandfather is sitting in his little farm house that's covered in snow in Ohio and is watching the Rose Parade on TV. He sees sunshine and people in T-shirts and other folks in Spanish garb riding horses and many many beauties waving to him from flower covered floats. He looks out the window and sees his fields under 3 feet of snow.So he turns to his wife and says "Ma, pack up the kids in the car. Calaforny is the place we aught to be" (so he packed up his kids and he moved to beverly) (Well, Not really Beverly hills, more like Hermosa Beach)So It's not my fault that I've grown up within 5 miles of the ocean all my life. It's all because of that darn Rose Parade. winkGosh, what else could it be that makes Cantus not trust me. Oh, yeah [Dru tries to casually hide the juggling clubs behind his back. Maybe it's one of those spinner vs. juggler things]And by the way. I've got this bizzare headache. It's as if sombody is jumping up and down on my head like a trampoline. Weird.

Pozee, That would be seriously cool. What part of the park? I use to practice juggling in that small grassy area just north of the zoo parking lot.

I myself, would prefer Ireland over America... but the grass always looks greener on the otherside eh.. not that I'm there... so I guess it doesn't really make any difference in this situation... I don't know... I'd love to live 293487239847239487 kilometres away from the 'nearest mall' eventually. (Once I learn how to grow crops in fields of ice). Malcolm should give everyone on HoP a webcam, and we should play with fire whenever we want in front of the web cam, so you can tune in and watch whoever you want to spin fire when you want. (does that make sense?? I had a wisdom tooth out and I'm full of codeine and paracetamol frown ladidadida )

Thanks for the waves and the "howdy's". I gotta admit that there is one thing that's making me just a bit self-concious: I think I'm at least twice as old as the folks hanging out here. Too old for ravesToo old for base jumpingToo old for bungie jumpingToo old for Poi? NEVER! grinA self-concious spinner/juggler? Oxymoron? Who would think such an animal could exist? confused
