Well, as my original intro was lost, I guess I get the chance to redo my room!!! Feel free to come on in, just PLEASE take your shoes off at the door! Thank you.
Well here's me (again)...
*NAME- Amanda
*SEX- female
*AGE- 23
*LOCATION- Hmmm... a tricky one! Currently in Durham. I spend my summers in France (miles from civilization), and spring and autumn in Wales (do sheep count as civilization? If so, then a thriving community!)
*FAV. TOYS- at the moment my fire poi, but also my juggling balls, diabolo, my new staff, guitar, mountain bike, and of course my beloved kayak!...too many more to mention!
*TWIRLING SINCE- learned bits of stuff since 2000, but only really got into it this year. I was on crutches for 3wks, after dislocating my knee (ow!), so I spent all the time learning new poi stuff (every cloud has a silver lining eh?).
*OCCUPATION- Outdoor Activity Instructor/ river guide
*HOBBIES- naturally my poi and stuff, but also do lots of kayaking, canoeing, climbing, mountain biking, snowboarding, and bits of other sports.
*FAV. PLACE- Specific favourite one is sat on the edge of the cliff, overlooking the gorge where I work in France, with nothing around for miles apart from the wild boar, and watching either the sunset in the distance, or one of the impressive lightning storms we have.
I also love anywhere where I can sit on a mountain or beside a river, hearing nothing but the noises of nature. A BIG reminder of the beauty of it all...
Anyway, thats pretty much me in a nutshell! Feel free to come and chill in my room- its a great place for relaxing and being at one with nature! (and who said i was a hippie?!
). On the plus side, tea and cakes are supplied for free!!! And if i'm feeling generous i may even let Narr in with her weird marmite/chocolate spread mix! euch!Catch you all soon,

I'll probably be home for a couple of weeks at the start of October, so I may be able to meet up with you and El.
Unfortunately I can't bring Spitfire with me though... bloody American lack of holiday time!

With me around, though, you won't have to worry about carrying Kayaks as often...I'll carry them for ya!

Yeah, I generally try and park the car as close as possible, so I don't have to carry them too far.
I'm getting kinda sick of injuring myself from carrying boats.

Ok ok, I'm up!
*yawn*
I should've stayed in bed though- it's not going too well...
I pottered around the kitchen this morning- making coffee and toast- and then came to drink my coffee whilst on the computer.
I walked across the bedroom floor, stepped over (and almost on) one of Storms toys, put my coffee down... and froze.
I ran through the last bit in my head, and realised that Storm doesn't have any bug shaped toys with legs and big feelers!
She'd found a roach, knocked it on its back in the middle of the floor, and left it there.
So it was out with the newspaper and a big boot.
It took me ages to kill the thing. I really hate roaches!
I suppose it could've been worse... it could've been a big spider. *shudders*

Sorry for the roach incident....she has this thing of finding them in the utility room and dragging them in my room, the twerp. I love her dearly, but I really wish she'd leave the roaches elsewhere.

Yep I'm up, but still trying to stay awake- I didn't sleep well last night.
Ok, so as an explanation to others...
spitfire, Eleanor, and I went out for a meal last night, and then came back and rented a movie.
Eleanor kept chosing really scary ones (we declined!).
I wanted to see 'Gothica' (1- because it looked good. 2- because it starred Halle Berry *purrrrr*)
Kim wanted anything that wasn't anywhere near scary.
So... after persuasion, we got Gothica, and I promised to look after Kim.
Yes, Kim hid under the covers for a lot of the film, and yes, I ripped the p!$$.
So, everything is good (Kim looked slightly like she needed therapy), and then we went to bed and *I'M* the one who has the nightmares!!!
That's so not a fair deal. So I've been pretty much awake since 5am, which is why I'm quite tired.
...more coffee's needed...

I actually had a nightmare as well....I remember waking up with a start at somepoint, but you were sound asleep. I snuggled closer and drifted back to sleep....
Gothica was good, but yeesh....it got to me. I think I prefer Silence of the Lamb type scary movies or Aliens type....but that was a good one...really good story....

What a gnarly pair we are!1 movie that was a bit scary, and we're both having nightmares.

I thought I just had a dungeon! That's where I usually find miss pounce- in amongst all the chains with a lovely lady or gentleman.
