Well, as my original intro was lost, I guess I get the chance to redo my room!!! Feel free to come on in, just PLEASE take your shoes off at the door! Thank you.
Well here's me (again)...
*NAME- Amanda
*SEX- female
*AGE- 23
*LOCATION- Hmmm... a tricky one! Currently in Durham. I spend my summers in France (miles from civilization), and spring and autumn in Wales (do sheep count as civilization? If so, then a thriving community!)
*FAV. TOYS- at the moment my fire poi, but also my juggling balls, diabolo, my new staff, guitar, mountain bike, and of course my beloved kayak!...too many more to mention!
*TWIRLING SINCE- learned bits of stuff since 2000, but only really got into it this year. I was on crutches for 3wks, after dislocating my knee (ow!), so I spent all the time learning new poi stuff (every cloud has a silver lining eh?).
*OCCUPATION- Outdoor Activity Instructor/ river guide
*HOBBIES- naturally my poi and stuff, but also do lots of kayaking, canoeing, climbing, mountain biking, snowboarding, and bits of other sports.
*FAV. PLACE- Specific favourite one is sat on the edge of the cliff, overlooking the gorge where I work in France, with nothing around for miles apart from the wild boar, and watching either the sunset in the distance, or one of the impressive lightning storms we have.
I also love anywhere where I can sit on a mountain or beside a river, hearing nothing but the noises of nature. A BIG reminder of the beauty of it all...
Anyway, thats pretty much me in a nutshell! Feel free to come and chill in my room- its a great place for relaxing and being at one with nature! (and who said i was a hippie?!
). On the plus side, tea and cakes are supplied for free!!! And if i'm feeling generous i may even let Narr in with her weird marmite/chocolate spread mix! euch!Catch you all soon,

Aw mate, and you have so much of the stuff! Snow is great. We don't get enough of it. I love spinning in the snow, it's so pretty.

I'm sure if you threw an ickle bit of red food colouring into the clouds you could make pink snow.

the only good thing about cold weather (i.e. yucky snow) is going back inside and warming up by the fire with a nice cup of hot apple cider!
and if you think it's pretty, wait until all the cars drive in it and it starts to melt and the snowplow comes through. pretty doesn't last very long. oh, and try driving in it....that's when the novelty REALLY wore off for me!!!

Let me live in my own pretty snowy world!
This proves our country can't cope with this weather- Newcastle airport has had to be shut, because of the snow!

the same happens in vegas....we all just assume hell has frozen over when it starts snowing there so everything shuts down (except the casinos of course)

HAH! Go to New Orleans when it snows.
Just...stay away from the roads. Those folks try to actually DRIVE in the stuff, and they have no idea what they're doing.
You really take your life into your hands on the road with snow and ice in the south...
I speak from experience...a former New Orleanian who lived in Washington State...and Tennessee and North Carolina....
OK...Now...I'm going to go find a hole to crawl into for a while. I need comfort food...looks like sushi for dinner tonight.

Is this being really slow tonight, or is it just my 1920s computer?
Its taking me about 5mins, and at least 3 attempts, to get a page up. Its really annoying!

Ok, I need hugs.
i've had the worst night in ages.
I don't really want to go into it now, but it involved alcohol, epilepsy, police cars, annoying drunk people, and a very narky mand. grrrr.

yeah, our brownies were amazing in the end!! i do remember the entire batch was eaten before they were even cool enough to handle properly!

I actually like making them more than eating them!
They are quite tasty though.We should wrestle in that stuff next time, instead of jelly- it would be warmer, and we'd have about 30kg of mix to wrestle in!!!
