Hi everyone, my name is Ruthie, I live in upstate New York. I've been intrigued by poi for a while and due to recent changes in my life, I'm learning to do things that make my soul happy. I said the only thing holding me back is myself! I will be 55 in a month and last year started doing lampworking, my most recent passion which is making glass beads from glass rods using a torch. It's soon to be too cold here to do a lot of things outside, so I will practice poi in the basement and hopefully come springtime will have some moves down. Does anyone know of any teachers near Albany NY? I will be watching the videos on this site, but meeting someone in person would be great.
