Ok this is an official update of my mouldy old intro. every time that i accidentally bring up the first page of this instead of the recent one, i get a case of "geez i'm a tool writing such a dodgy intro". so i thought i'd put a fresh intro up for me to feel embarrased about biggrin

Here's some information about me...

i live in melbourne, where things are often rainy. raininess makes me sad.

i go to the ever wonderful melbourne sunday spinning, where all the lovely melbourne kids go. If you live anywhere near melbourne and you're checking out this intro to suss out what type of people go on sundays, i highly recommend you come along.

i'm a student nurse, so i get terribly excited about health. it also means that i will intermittently whinge about going on clinicals. i secretly love being on clinicals though.

i'm also a disability support worker, which i've done for ages. i love it heaps, but like any job, it has it's moments.

i live with my boyfriend, who i tend to complain about a lot also, but i love him to bits, even when he gives me the sh!ts.

someone once asked me to sum myself up in 5 words, and i came up with independent, caring, firey, needy and...oh bugger i can't remember the last. i'm sure it was good though biggrin

well, i can't think of anything else to put there, so i'll leave it till i start cringing whenever i see this intro tongue

and just so that the initial comments here are in context, here's what my intro originaly said....

"hey, I registered with HoP a few days ago in a procrastination attempt (1exam to go), and this whole talking-to-people-on-the-other-side-of-the-world thing kinda freaks me out. Anyway, I been reading peoples messages, which seems a bit voyueristic, since I haven't really introduced myself. I live in victoria, and I'm studying nursing, play with poi, but haven't 4 ages. please reply with something encouraging, otherwise I'll get scared and feel unwelcome. frownThen I'll be stuck with playing solitaire."

she hasn't got cooties sparkey! maybe girl germs though.

tres cool about the house. that's similar to how i was first living 'out of home'. My sister and i were living with my dad in a house he owned, then he moved in with his partner. we payed minimal bills, which was lucky since i was only in high school earning junior wages. but then after a few months he told us he was selling up so we had to find another place to live. Doh! whereabouts you travelling to?

i'm going backpacking in the UK in two and a half years, with me best mate. i'm all but couting the days, its gonna be totally radical. mostly scotland, but our plans aren't concrete at all. not ever a tiny little bit. we might end up going to Abu Dhabi, but that's not likely. if we do, we could say hi to Nermal...

Talk about forward planning though- two and a half years! I've got my lil Berghaus Spirit travelpack looking a bit neglected since coming back from France and the UK a couple months ago- want to fly away but this trip and uni starting up again's got me grounded for a while.. though in two and a half years..

abu dhabi to visit nermal? that's a garfield joke, isn't it sparkey? my boyfriend always goes on about garfield (personally i don't see the appeal), and he has an ex cat called nermal, who his ex girlfriend says is past cute and cuddly now and is just one big fat cat.

I'm planning to travel round south east asia with a mate next summer (which is in december here), which is all very exciting.

got my uni timetable today, and it sucks arse. was going to carpool with a mate, but her timetable's completely different to mine. i've got one day doing 9-5. if i wanted to work from 9-5 i would never have left work to go back to uni.

and havokist, sure you can dance, just close your eyes and pretend everyone thinks you're amazing. works for me!
*closes eyes and does a little dance*
gee i'm amazing!

i've got to go to a workmates farewell dinner tonight, and everyone else in my area has bailed. the other people who are going are aquainances at best, but i can't cancel, cos i'm the last one from my area going. *grumble grumble*

i'm looking forward to going to Vietnam. i promised my sister a while ago that we'd go together the first time we went, so i was feeling a bit sheepish about going without her, but she might be meeting up with us there. a mate also has done a bit of work at an orphanage there which she said was a real eye opener, so i'm thinking i maight do some work there. all just ideas at the moment though.

i skipped out of the dinner i was meant to be going to, rang a workmate and she said i not to worry about it, so i feel like my guilt and responsibility has been absovled. yay!

Vietnam sounds like quite the eye opener- nearby Cambodia too. Would love to up and leave, but it's so speck-on-the-horizon it's not funny frown

lol absolution rocks. But more importantly- what's for dinner?
