Ok this is an official update of my mouldy old intro. every time that i accidentally bring up the first page of this instead of the recent one, i get a case of "geez i'm a tool writing such a dodgy intro". so i thought i'd put a fresh intro up for me to feel embarrased about biggrin

Here's some information about me...

i live in melbourne, where things are often rainy. raininess makes me sad.

i go to the ever wonderful melbourne sunday spinning, where all the lovely melbourne kids go. If you live anywhere near melbourne and you're checking out this intro to suss out what type of people go on sundays, i highly recommend you come along.

i'm a student nurse, so i get terribly excited about health. it also means that i will intermittently whinge about going on clinicals. i secretly love being on clinicals though.

i'm also a disability support worker, which i've done for ages. i love it heaps, but like any job, it has it's moments.

i live with my boyfriend, who i tend to complain about a lot also, but i love him to bits, even when he gives me the sh!ts.

someone once asked me to sum myself up in 5 words, and i came up with independent, caring, firey, needy and...oh bugger i can't remember the last. i'm sure it was good though biggrin

well, i can't think of anything else to put there, so i'll leave it till i start cringing whenever i see this intro tongue

and just so that the initial comments here are in context, here's what my intro originaly said....

"hey, I registered with HoP a few days ago in a procrastination attempt (1exam to go), and this whole talking-to-people-on-the-other-side-of-the-world thing kinda freaks me out. Anyway, I been reading peoples messages, which seems a bit voyueristic, since I haven't really introduced myself. I live in victoria, and I'm studying nursing, play with poi, but haven't 4 ages. please reply with something encouraging, otherwise I'll get scared and feel unwelcome. frownThen I'll be stuck with playing solitaire."

sparkey: there's a disorder called pica where a person will eat non food substances, like stones, cigarette butts etc. is that how you're feeling?

i started clinicals today, it was so good, i was worried about what the other nurses would be like, cos there was a bit of coldness from them on my last placement. but they were ace. i think i'm really going to have fun over the next 2 weeks. smile

sheesh, lok at this, having to double post in my own intro to bump it. does no one love me? [/flagrant attention seeking]

i'm so unbelievably glad it's the weekend, i've been looking forward to it since, oh....monday? i've been on nursing placement, working my bum off. i took blood from quite a few patients today, and i do believe i'm getting the knack of it. I've been doing lots of other things that i find very exciting, but most people tend to squirm a bit when i talk about it, so i'll spare you all smile

Pica!

Pica is a really cool word because it has a bunch of different meanings and most people don't know a single one of them. One is the eating dissorder that you mentioned, annother is a typesetting size, and the third is that cute little critter.

having ppl around with cameras and the likes when you are spinning definitely alters your ability to maintain your spin, hey?

yeah the ones i've ordered are cathedrals, cos my current ones are manky to the extreme, i'm embarrassed to burn them in front of anyone, in case someone tells me they look unsafe. that and the fact i get all self conscious burning in front of others anyway.

flyntums, it's ok. i understand darl. i wanted to email you for something that seemed important, but i forget what it is, so if you remember what i wanted to tell me, please let me know tongue
