Hello everybody - or at least everybody who takes the time to read this :-)

I thought it would be nice to invest in this community by talking a lot about myself before taking from it... I am sure you will be very glad about that ^^

As a rookie, I have no creativity yet, so I am going to do this the old-fashioned way.

Age: My birth year is 1980, as may have been obvious from my nickname. I am sure you are better at basic arithmatics than I am, so you should figure it out.

Occupation(s): Technical Translator

Favorite Food(s): Fries.

Favorite Color(s): Depends on what object we are talking about. My spiral poi have orange ribbons and I play orange at Settlers of Catan all the time. So I guess it will be orange. (I also like orange cupcakes, but those are not coloured orange.)

What is the wing speed of an unladen swallow?
A European or an African swallow?

Toys: Poi. Kid's toys. Anything luminous or interactive, really.

Hobbies other than the obvious: Playing the drums. Painting in Bob Ross style (only casually, though, and nowhere near his skill level).

Favorite Book(s): Anything Lovecraft, Les Jeux Sont Faites by J.P. Sartre, Collected Ghost Stories by M.R. James. But also Winnie-the-Pooh and The House At Pooh Corner. (Two of these made me cry. Your guess ;-) )

Favorite Movie(s): Lord of the Rings trilogy, Star Wars, A Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and the ones I should probably be ashamed of: the Harry Potter series and Dude Where's My Car.

When I grow up, I want to turn back time. Fortunately, I never WILL grow up.

Favorite Music Artists/Composers: The Birthday Massacre, Evergrey, Rammstein, Type O Negative, Paradise Lost and lots of others.

Vanilla, lemon and chocolate. Does that make me boring?

Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella?
Nutella, I guess. Vegemite is something I only know from that particular song we all know and Marmite is something I never heard of at all. Ever.

Despite the above, I do not consider myself very sarcastic and I am actually quite humble and friendly. I started poiing about a year ago, but only started taking it more 'seriously' as a hobby about five weeks ago. A lady friend of mine taught me the basics and we are now practising together and teaching each other tricks we pick up from YouTube, motivating each other and having a lot of fun.

This is exactly what I would like to do in this community: get tips and offer them to others whenever I can.
