Hi, I'm brand spanking new to HOP, never even new it existed until I stumbled upon it recently. Only just starting to get my sea legs as far as the technology thing goes. Just typed poi into a search engine and BAM, Here I am. And right glad I am too. Been spinning for years on and off, started in South Africa and the enthusiasm kinda waned once I got to the UK and refused to leave the warmth of indoors for months. Years later I am regaining my passion and learnig to accept that 26 degrees celcius is warm.
Think Hop is amazing, looking forward to learning and living and loving and growing.

Well, we had our first little meet on the beach on Saturday and it was great. There was about a 15-man turnout, I'm guessing this was because the weather was rather dodgy, (my late invitation had nothing to do with it of coarse-really sorry about that!) It did clear and warm up a little from about 10 onwards and we got some great pictures of the fire line-up along the shore with the pier in the background. Hopefully I'll be able to load them up sometime soon.
A big thanx to those that did come along at such short notice, great fun was had by all until the wee hours of the morning,and we made a few new friends.
Tum- sorry you couldnt make it, hope youre feeling better soon.
A big thanx to Sam and Keith too, its always great seeing you guys and you can crash at mine anytime!

Wont be going to falmouth, bit strapped for cash, and have already committed to going to Global Gathering at the end of next month!
