Posted: I was going to start learning advanced moves a few weeks ago but something happened, I lost my groove as it were. I'm looking to get back into poi but I feel like I need to learn new moves because right now my current repertoire of movements feels limiting. The last move I learned was the huggie (which I'm glad to say I got down rather quickly) but now I don't know what direction to go in. I was going to try and learn isolations but I feel they're still a little too far out of reach at the moment. What moves should I try out next?
For reference, I already know the moves from the "helpful advice threads" (except the reverse 5beat and flowers, I'm working on them) and I have also done a bit of practice in what I've read is called "glowchucking" (that name is rather bland if you ask me). I've also learned a few other moves like the buzzsaw, some butterfly variations, the fountain and another combo or two. There are a few other moves I know but as I said, I don't know where to go from here so any advise is welcome. EDITED_BY: zhouyun65 (1282756418)

A good start is the pendulum weave aka 1.5 beat weave. And don't worry, there is no prerequisite for isolations. They won't just come to you at any point. You will start barely being able to pass something as an isolation for a few beats when you first get it upright, and just keep practicing and over aperiod of time it will keep getting cleaner and cleaner. Then you can learn isolated buzzsaw and linear isolations are REALLY easy to pick up. You'll find things Also learning to turn with everything will keep you busy and make you worlds better than you would be otherwise
The only luck is bad luck.
Shut up before I stall my poi up your ass
