Hello! My name is Somer and I live in Lilburn Georgia, USA. I have been spinning poi for about a year and nolonger have a teacher/partner to spin or practice with. Poi spinning is not a well known art in this part of the country. I have found that i learn better when I am in the presence of another fellow spinner because I am able to see the movements being made in order to learn effectively. It also helps to have a trained eye watching so that if I am doing something wrong, it can be pointed out and explained so that I can make the proper corretions and adjustments. Not to mention its just more fun to do with someone else so if there is anyone out there in the Lilburn,GA area that is interested please notify me. Thanks!
