Whoa! The universe is strange sometimes.

Looong story short and overly simplified: As some of you know I've been desperately trying to get my girlie out of her busy summer schedule and into Europe but somewhere in there... um... we broke up. No, no... it's cool and for the best and I actually do mean that. Once you get over a certain age (or maturity level) breakups become a bit more civilized and logical I guess... But the strange point of all of this is:

I'VE GOT ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO THIS SUMMER!!!

After I host the lovely Cassandra and her Prince in New York until July 22nd I'm FREEEEEE!!!

As most of you know who've met me, I'm a nice, decent, employed, clean (unless you met me at last years EJC!) and respectful guy who'd feel absolutely blessed to camp out on a couch, floor, stairwell, dirt pile, concrete cell floor, subway (er.. I mean metro) station or where ever I'm welcome... I know I received many lovely invites when I was toying with the idea a few weeks ago but now that I've got no reason not to... and every reason to come out I thought I should make it official (and give everyone who offered a chance to quickly rethink )

I'm even thinking about hitting up the EJC this year too... even though the thought of a week of dodging juggling clubs and muddy tents is already making me a bit queasy...

Where should I go? Whom should I see? How long should I come for? What should I bring? Where should I stay? Why do you all have such strange accents?

Throwing myself into the universe and seeing what smiling faces I get to meet...

Might be cool Tempest except that's sort of my swan song... Scotland is probably my last stop before heading down and out of London.... which is fine. But I was also very surprised to see how cheap London-Edinborough plane tickets are compared to training it...

I also gotta see how folks are going to/from EJC...

I'll definitely get up there though...

I would have gone to the EJC but ended up being busy with other things instead.

My new flat is now sorted out and we even have a spare bedroom for you to use.

We're trying to organise a BBQ for the Poi-in-the-Park during NYCs stay so anyone coming to Clapham that day please bring things to BBQ and things to BBQ them on/in/with (you'll figure it out) - I'll start a "Who's brining what?" thread nearer the actual event

i completely agree, this is an amazing party and holding it at seone should make it even better. i'm there

for those not making the ejc, there is also 'xentrix' on the 16th. project ozma and liquid people if i remember what that bloke was saying behind the glade (memory slightly impared at that point ).

NYC if you want to see everyone you just have to persuade them to get their butts down to Clapham on the 27th. London's got to be the easiest place in the UK to get to for most people - if Deepsoulsheep's coming (he lives in Ireland) then I'm sure the others can make it too

Everyone who doesn't live in London: Sort out liftshares, Hire minibuses, hitch-hike, borrow donkeys/llamas/elephants/big hamsters - get to Clapham on the 27th at all costs. I believe there's going to be some filming going on too...

Damn you,! Not coming down to London the one time a year I can get around there!
I see how you are.

By the way, is there anything else planned as being going on that weekend besides the poi in the park (which I am definitely looking forward to)?

That party sounds hot. I guess I'm staying in London til the 1st.

I'm currently typing quietly as Cassandra and Shibaki are sleeping in my living room. (SHHHHH!) It's certainly so nice showing them around New York so you'll all have to excuse me for not posting much recently.

I can't tell you how excited I am to come out. A week from just about right now I'll be 'starting our final decent into London's Heathrow Airport....'

YIPEE!

Well, shall we go?
