Hey Everyone

Thanx for the welcome! Been using the HOP site for a bit looking at the poi lessons etc (I'm still not very good!) but figured I'd meet a few people too.

As for the Marmite/vegemite/nutella question Freya - wouldn't touch the first two with a barge pole they are the devils food. Nutella is Ok but I'd rather have marmalade on my toast anyday!

And Cantus shame you weren't quite as welcoming as the others - but then again there's always one on every message board who likes to wind people up!! Luckily I'm not easily offended. nana

I don't like to wind people up. I want everybody to be happy (and buy my paintings).

You wrote "'rents"

It seemed to me that you were just asking for trouble. Wildchild said "mobi" the other day to denote mobile phone number and she's even olderer than you.

Meh

Hey Chelly - sorry don't like tea, but thanks for the offer. I know I'm English but am purely a coffee drinker.

And Cantus - I'm glad that you want everybody to be happy, that makes me feel much better. smile But I guess you're right in a manner of speaking although I kinda like the word mobi too - Mmm perhaps I'm just a big kid!! tongue

Coffee and cheesecake seems a perfect combination? Any particular flavour in mind or just original?

And quick question whilst am here. Are there any Londoners out there? Am planning on relocating to the big smoke and am looking for opinions on where to go.ubbidea Definitely thinking south but thats as far as my future planning goes.

Well thats all for now; coffee and -damn no cheesecake- beckons!

oooooh, I finally tried some cheesecake on saturday... have been wanting cheesecake for weeks but a combination of never thinking about it at the right time (I'm vague) and being lazy (won't make it myself) have prevented it...

I was full so couldn't eat a piece myself (ye, ye, I know... turning down sweets *gasp* what the?) but I tried some vegan lime and pistachio cheesecake... was yummo... biggrin

Not true actually, I HATE cheesecake! It's a waste of perfectly good cheese! I am aware I'm in the minority over this though.

welcome to HOP Sezzie!

My brain is about as useful as a chocolate teapot, but unfortunately not as tasty.

Squueee!

ye... vegan lime and pistachio... funny lil cafe... they don't serve honey with your chai, cos it's mean to the bees... but they'll offer you cow's milk instead of soy *shakes head*

it was nice, but as you say, not worth tracking down... the orange cake thingie with the creamy (well, it can't actually have 'cream' in it), liquidy saucy stuff on top however, was heaven... yum, yum, yum... but that wasn't cheesecake

Not vegan or veggie either, but I agree that those type of cafes usually do really nice food. Although I'm not a big fan of all the fancy teas, chai, camomile and the like. They all just taste wierd to me.

Anyhow here's hoping you all have a good day today whatever your pleasure. sunny

Hey Pogo - was being nosey and looking at your intro thread and firstly I like your taste in movies - Pay it Forward, I cry every time!

But apart from Jack Johnson I hadn't heard of any of the music. Is this because I've been out of touch having the fate worse than death that is Crazy frog and Gasolina making my ears bleed in Thai clubs or are your tastes just a little bit off the beaten track?

Also had to look up what a djembe was.....

hehehe... hey, sezzie... I had to go check my thread to see what I put in there...!!! rolleyes

ok... the music... with the exception of jack johnson, every artist I put in there are australian... probably why you don't know any of them... mostly independant oz blues/roots musos... oh... and JBT is the john butler trio... smile

I listen to bits and pieces of almost anything, so some of what I like is *VERY* off the beaten track... some is smack dab in the middle of it... tongue

I ubblove xavier rudd, not like... a massive fan... saw him live @ the suncorp piazza (home of juggle jam!!) late last year, but missed his gig in april this year... he's been off touring the world since... well due for a return home, he is...

oh... that was a yes, he's an aussie... victorian, to be exact...

I've seen him play in front of my very own eyes, but still find it difficult to believe one man can make so much music all by himself... his setup is amazing... didges all round him, guitars, harmonicas, stomp box, djembe, tonguedrums... incredible stuff...!!

bounce bounce bounce

ye... I'm a fan... tongue
