Hi! I've just really started to teach myself poi properly and I've found this site really helpful.
Thanks a lot to everyone that has contributed to the site, I've found everything really useful in keeping my injuries to a minimum. 
Name: Stef (is dead good!)
Location: Derbyshire, England!
Hometown: Somewhere near Derby and Nottingham.
Birthday (sign?): 8th August, which would make me a Leo.
Age: 24
Sex: Female
Occupation(s): Forklift Truck Driver.
Favorite Food(s): Anything that is vegetarian and bad for me.
Favorite Color(s): I've got a bit of a thing for UV colours at the moment (NOT pink) but purple/red with black is always good.
What is the wing speed of an unladen swallow?: I haven't got a clue.
Toys: I've just bought some spiralpoi by Pyropixies. They are my first proper poi. I also got some juggling balls at the same time that I've been having a bit of a play with.
Hobbies other than the obvious: Clubbing (hopefully to be enhanced by the obvious soon. )
Education: Just GCSEs, I did quite well though.
Favorite Book(s): I don't really know, I've read loads of Stephen King which I'm trying to get away from at the moment.
Favorite Movie(s): Anything directed by Tim Burton. Bio-dome is fun.
Godzilla vs. a Star Wars Star Destroyer. Who wins? Why? I wouldn't know.
Favorite TV show(s): I don't really watch much tv. I've just started watching the first series of Heroes though, that's good.
Plans for life in general: (i.e. what you want to do when you grow up): I haven't thought that far ahead yet which is kind of a worry considering that I'm 24.
Favorite Music Artists/Composers: Quite a range really. Misfits, Testament, VNV Nation, Covenant, loads of others.
Do you think these pants make my butt look too big?: I don't know. I can't see through the internet.
Favorie ice cream flavor(s): Ben and Jerrys Cookie Dough.
Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella?* Nutella!

Where abouts are you based?
There's still quiet a thriving community in Stoke. Probably the best contact for that is [Old link]. Dont let his geekyness fool you, he can be quite good fun to spin with

I get camera shy so I don't think you'll see any pictures.

I'm right in between Derby, Nottingham, and Mansfield. I'd love to find a Poi friendly group in that area if anyone knows of one.
Stoke is a bit far to go all the time but I'll certainly keep a look out for events that way.
