when i first saw your thread, i thought it said hello from tapioca! i thought that was cool, but now that i've figured out that i need to go back to school and learn to read, i've realized that you are not from Tapioca, and that's ok.

welcome welcome!

XD that would be fun to be from tapioca! XD I do that all the time so don't feel bad!

Thank you for the welcome! ^_^

I just don't care fish or most seafood. I LOVE shrimp, but that's about it.

ah, shrimp, i was never a big fan of shrimp, but i'll eat most anything else that swims around with a lateral line and a few fins!

so you've got sock poi now and you're looking to upgrade? did you make your own? you might want to try ribbon poi before glow toys, i found that when i upgraded from sock to glow toys, i did alot more damage not only to myself but to the toys as well cause i wasn't used to the finger handles, which are alot different than how you hold sock poi, so i practiced with a set of ribbon poi that i got a great deal on off of ebay first. made a big difference, to me anyway!

how's the weather in Kansas? i'm not gonna lie, i know nothing about your state, other than the name!

Thanks for the tip! I already bought the LED ones but I notice they a lot harder to play with I'll look into some ribbon ones. I might try wrapping the led ones in bubble wrap for the time being. Any new moves I'm gonna practice with the sock, the try it one the LED's. If I got the fundamental idea I think I should be able to pull it off (key word, THINK).

The sock poi I did make myself. With some knee highs, fabric markers, and a pair of tennis balls. The only thing I can say so far, is I'm not afraid of getting whacked upside the head anymore! XD

The weather in Kansas is always interesting. It was 30 degrees X-mas days, 60 degrees the day after in which it rained, then the temp dropped froze all the rain so everything was covered in ice...then it snowed, and it got up to 40 today and melted everything! Which was nice because my car doors were frozen shut! XD

yeah, i'm glad i started with sock poi and ribbon toys as well, i got all the hitting myself in the head business out of my system while i was still using soft toys. i tell you what, when i got my glow toys i got lucky that i didn't hit myself in the head, but i instead whacked myself pretty good in the ass and legs a few times and those things leave nasty bruises!

I nailed myself really good in the legs trying to learn a a left handed single cross over (or whatever its name is, I'm still learning stuff). So far I've had more luck hitting my legs than anything, but I did score some bonus points a few weeks ago when I nailed myself right in the eye. I literally saw stars! XD

Hello Topeka from Kansas City. Good to know there are some spinners our there in Kansas. Nutella is actually really good, kinda like a hazelnut flavored chocolate spread.
