Sage will be holding a series of poi and staff dance workshops in the Austin, TX area on June 21st and 22nd. The workshops will be held at Circus Tent Theatre on 6404 Hergotz Ln. Visit the “workshop” section of Sage’s site to register online. There is limited space available. Enrollment for each session is $40.

Beginner Poi Workshop
June 21st: 12:00pm-1:30pm
--Warm-up/stretching, with focus on body movements, techniques, level changes transitions, dancing and poi moves. Beginning moves include butterflies and variations of, 3 beat weaves, isolations, tea cups, thread the needles, and wraps.
Intermediate Poi Workshop
June 21st: 2:20-4pm
--Warm-up/stretching, with focus on body movements, techniques, level changes transitions, dancing and poi moves. Intermedite moves include weave variations, tosses, anti-spins, flowers, behind-the-back, under-the-legs, and rolls.
Beginner/Intermediate Single Staff Workshop
June 22nd: 11:00am - 12:30pm
--Introduction to various moving techniques including warm-up/stretching, body movement, dancing, level changes, transitions, 1, 2, and 3 beat spins, palm spins, tosses, and beginning contact.
Beginner/Intermediate Double Staff Workshop
June 22nd: 1:30pm - 3:00pm
--Introduction to various moving techniques including warm-up/stretching, body movement, dancing, level changes, transitions, palm spins, tosses, and 1, 2, and 3 beat spins.
