Here's a thread dedicated to notifying of upcoming UK terrestial TV (ITV, BBC , CH4 etc) programs/documentaries that, from their description, sould like they'll be of relevance to recent threads in recent HOP 'Social discussion' threads.

(please, if adding to the thread, remember to include the date and which channel it's on)

Very timely is-

'Undercover in Tibet'- 8.00pm, Ch4

also, for alternative therapies is-

'Alternative Therapies- Meditation'- 9 pm, BBC2

(those are both tonight- mon 31 march 08)

On Thurs, not really a subject of recent threads, but sounds excellent anyway-

Cutting Edge- The Human spider'- thurs 3 april, Ch4

profile of the free-climber, Alain Robert, as he embarks on a new quest to climb skyscrapers with safety equipment

"You can't outrun Death forever.
But you can make the Bastard work for it."

Juggling came off very well in that clip, which, on mainstream UK TV, is very, very rare indeed (Certainly in contrast to the recent regional TV coverage I saw, of the doncaster BJC, where the TV presenters were very much on their usual, inane form and managed to perpetuate the perception that juggling is an activity for freaks and geeks).

I think any of the public who watched this (the documentary, not the regional news) would have walked away with a very favourable impression of juggling (and of meditation)

If only it could always be like this smile

"You can't outrun Death forever.
But you can make the Bastard work for it."

'Strictly Baby Fight Club'- ch 4, 9pm, Thursday 24 April 08

Docu on very young (down to 5/6 yrs) participants in Thai Boxing at the competitive (full-contact ring level).

The controversy has started already, with the likes of-

Which, i suspect, is a highly one-sided and biased veiwpoint, but, I'll reserve judgement till I've actually watched the documentary.
