I think you should spend some time looking at the tutorials on this site and let everyone know a bit about you and then keep spinning your ass off {^_^}!

I find when my planes are all over the place with a new trick, if i practice it in a tight space like a hallway or a doorway I can train myself into getting them straighter (purely out of frustration!) wink

as for getting yourself confused with learning new tricks, try and spend some time focusing on how you switch in and out of different patterns eg 3 beat weave to butterfly, weave to corkscrew etc.

by doing that you'll be better equipped to recover from a mistake, flow is the name of the game.

when you say reverse spin do you mean a reverse 3 beat weave? if so, start with a normal 3 beat weave (forwards) and just try to turn around 180 degrees. don't get frustrated if you hit yourself, just try it a little slower and dont be rigid so you can feel the flow.

i hope this has been of some use, if not just pm me dude {^_^}

for a good video tutorial's check out www.playpoi.com and HoP (As ive already mentioned!)

www.tamingfire.com has some good tutorials too!

all the best man! have fun! {^_^}

Hiya!

Yeah, pretty much as above- (though my planes are waymessy, so I'm maybe not the best person to listen to wink )

Practice, practice and more practice! Try not to get stuck doing the same moves for too long, 'cos it can make it harder to learn variations.. um.. also try and get everything so you can do it both ways, forwards, and reverse, don't think of reverse as a 'special' version..
Oh yeah.. and have fun wink

If that's okay with you?

there's a really good stretch where you join your hands behind your back.... I think it might be in the skill toys and health video on playpoi.com...

oh and welcome to HoP! hug

Try using just one poi and kind of cheating your planes, having your hands behind your back is something that takes a lot to get used to, start with one to get the feeling and move from there.

Don't mind me, just passing through.
