Location: it depend , for now canada ..
i have to by some fire poi in thailand !
do some body know if the is a shop or something like that ?
or maby a place to by kevlar ?
and i also want to know if there is some spinner in oman ??

There are a number of stalls on Khaosan Road, Bangkok and many shops in Haadrin, Koh Phangan. Many of them sell kevlar poi although most fire poi in Thailand are made from something else. It's a white wick that also works pretty well if you look after it, but doesn't last as long as kevlar.

Ask for Khun Oud, in Pra Sumen park, Bangkok.( Located at Pra Atit boat stop) . He is usually there with the spinners just before sunset, around 5-7pm. He makes good fire toys.
If you have trouble finding him, pm me and I will try to dig out his cell number for ya...

There are poi stalls everywhere, on the islands too.
Thai staffers use towel for a wick! It only lasts a few burns though.

Please be careful examining the quality of what you buy in Thailand. I have seen many poi with poor connections go flying off flaming into peoples faces, and the aluminum break off completely, and and... It can be dangerous. Just because the Thai people are using them does not mean they are healthy or safe. Take a good look!

i bring all my stuff with me exept the kevlar, so no problem with aluminum ... but i ll take care...

well 888 I am in Thailand from Jan 09 to 29 - so we're missing each other
but I am certain you will meet others in KP... just look it up in the "international meetings and gatherings" section "down the rabbit hole 2: diggin deeper" Have a nice one (and take your own kevlar )
