Ola! I've been poking around these forums for at least a couple of months now, mostly trying to sneak a few tips on how to nail a couple of moves but it's also introduced me to some inspirational videos, so I got bored andfigured it was time I delurked and introduced myself. Here's the vitals...

Name: Steve. And for once it's just Steve, this is the first year in a long time I haven't had a nickname frown
Location: Wolves or London UK depending on the time or my money/mood.
Hometown: Stanmore. Billy Idol's hometown smile
DOB: 12th June 1984
Age: 22 & getting a little mid-lifey about not being a teenager anymore
Sex: Maleicious. Woah...a little too close to malicious there. Hmmm.
Occupation(s): Student of Marketing & barman.
Favorite Food(s): Ooooh! Tough call! At the moment I'm on the "broke" end of the Student Food Chain, so it's been smart-price noodles or anything toast-based for a while, but I love sweet & sour chicken & I make the best Spaghetti Bolognaise in town. With the possibly exception of my croatian friend who has a family recipe for a sauce that takes two days to prepare- how can I compete with that?!
Favorite Color(s): Dark, forest green.
Toys: Monkey fists were my love, but a friend broke mine :'( so I love my tails now. Passionately.
Hobbies other than the obvious: bass, guitar, PS2, myspace(sigh), drinking games, raves and watching a series of 24 in a day. I'm also working on a few skank-breaking moves- based on a friend's style of dancing which mixes rock skanking style steps with hip-hop's bodyrock and a few 6step varients. And I'm having a go at a few bar flairing & contact juggling moves...which are a lot tougher than I found poi & staff to be. I also seem to keep getting drawn into sorting other people's advertising needs for localised events. I don't seem to get that much free time these days!
Education: I'm in my second year at university at the moment- I'm planning on a 2:1 minimum & then taking the fast track course with the CIM to get a govt.qualification which should get me more money. What? I do marketing! Of course I have no soul!!
Favorite Book(s): "The Way of the Peaceful Warrior" - Dan Millman
"Drawing Blood" - Poppy Z.Brite
Spiderman:Maximum Carnage
Favorite Movie(s): The Outsiders, The Lost Boys, The Warriors, The Breakfast Club...uhh, mostly 80's stuff really.
Favorite TV show(s): Drawn Together, Beck, Rozen Maiden, 24, That 70's Show, Boy Meets World. TV sucks these days.
Plans for life in general: Okay, at the moment I'm just focussing on getting out of debt...but there's some really pretty poi I want to get! Long term, I want my 2:1, the CIM qualification, I'd like to be one of those business-slick gits everyone hates by the time I'm 30 (y'know, ponytail yuppie in a little red convertible?). While spinning & playing bass on the side smile
Favorite Music Artists/Composers: Changes on a daily basis. At the moment I'm really into the Beck soundtrack, but in the past month my mp3 player's had Rabbit in the Moon, Mad Capsule Markets & Clawfinger on a lot. I'm open to any music that get's me going.
Favorie ice cream flavor(s): Strawberry! Keep this chocolate nonsense away from me; it should only ever be served in chilled bar form or as a hot drink! Aargh!
Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella? Butter. Seriously, I went through an interesting couple of weeks where all I could afford was Asda's own cheap bread & cheap butter, so it's butter or nothing these days!

Nicetameetya!

Watching an entire series of 24 in a day only accounts for 4 days of your life though surely?

Yo & hello!

Just under 5 now, thanks to my bootlegging friends wink Not that I'm enough of a fiend to steal something as big/great as 24- I'll be buying the fifth season as soon as it's out on DVD...and then we can try a full working-week marathon of Jack Bauer!

dont worry about not being a teenager anymore, I'm 25 and I'm not a grown up bounce just means no teenage tantrums biggrin

You have a myspazz, I, also have one, as do many of us HoPpers, it's a shame frown it's like a drug!

Hoppers are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.

My state of mind is not yours to define!

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
