Im 6ft3 and average build, and my other half is (edit: 5ft3 she wasnt last time we measured!) and again averaqge build. it seems completly normal that she feels like shes hugging a tree, and i dont notice theres anyone there atall!
We just arent bothered!
I just thought it was funny last night realising how many people notice!
We get so many questions from people, like-
how do you have s**?,
Do you trip over her?,
Can she give you a piggy back without your feet dragging on the ground?
can you wear her trousers when you run out of clean shorts?
i do find it funny, that to me, we seem the same height, but then i never notice other couples the same when walking down the street, everyone just looks normal!
(apart from the 6ft6 girl i met in italy
scary!)is it that noticable?

your arguments re: apegisahug are either woefully misdirected or too weak to warrant a retort.
for those that do require application of the rationalising spirit level, i say this:
firstly, a hug should never be used as a means to peg - if you can hug, the peg is patently surplus to requirements.
the ethos of the 'a peg is a hug' literal analogy is that the pegee is otherwise occupied and thus is not in a position to receive a hug.
a peg is thus used to convey the emotional and physical products of a hug, whilst not requiring the actual hug to take place.
so i'd define a peg as:
"a peg is a peg unless its a hug.
a peg is a hug when applied by a person to a second person whereby the second person must be involved in the carrying out of an action that requires mental attention, physical activity, or both, which can be said to render them temporarily unhuggable.
a hug is a hug is a hug."
besides, simon you ain't no monkey like they got in the jungle but i ain't trying to take away your bananas just cos you look like a noomanbeen...

hmmm, i see your angle......
so is antipegging therefore the opposite? i.e. an antihug?
the action is surely the same, however you are possibly denying the pegee of the 'hug'........ sorry, peghug that they have been given by another player.........

Even if you've written Hug on the peg,, no fair,, sometimes you can't be there to give aforementioned hug hence the leaving of the peg so it can be found later.Thats my application anyhow.

Well.. I am 5'1" (thank heavens this thread isn;t metric...I never can figure xhundredcms...)
My first boyfriend was 6'6". Little children laughed when we walked down the street. He also had a habit of wearing ladies clothing. Which meant in heels he was.... up there somewhere.
Pretty much everyone I've been with is over 6 feet..Another recent boyfriend was 6 foot 4. I am used to it on one level and sick of it on another. Having deep relationships with peoples armpits. Hurting my neck to kiss them. Standing on a chair to see the world from their point of view and realising I am a little womble down there somewhere. Don't like it. Want short fella. Not totally short of course... 'short' *ducks and runs*
.....Can't juggle balls but I sure as hell can juggle details....

Oh, you guys are all making me want hugs really badly, but I'm at work, and don't know any of my colleagues well enough to give a random hug to...
Can't wait to get home from work for some uberhugs from my man!

oh,, yeah the topic,, well it was kinda huggy too,, but anyhow,, I'm 6ft and most of my girlfirends have been around the 5'4 mark,, never done by design,, just always seemed to pan out that way,, i just got used to that 'Stoop Down for a kiss' thing.

it makes first kisses and spontaneous kissing interesting, because you either have to wait unitll you are sitting down, or sort or launch yourself at their mouth...
you cant have any of that eye level 'it just happened' stuff...
i think things are a little easier when you are around the same height, but i do so love being hugged by tall people

If you enjoy eachothers heights and hugs, it shouldn't matter. Everyone notices things about people when they are out and about, and if they point it out make a joke out of it, point out all the posotive things about it.
I'm 5 foot nothing and my mr is ummm taller! and its lovery hugging/cuddling/snuggling him
not all hugs involve standing, i have shared many a hug sitting with friends (mostly being hoppers)
i have yet to excperience the temporary hug replacement gesture of pegging

my washing line loves being hugged by pegs
and the pegs love the washing line so much they cant help but huggy mchug it! Cole, you're right, gangly arms are great, but sometimes flabbiness is good too. sometimes it's just the way someone hugs
my favourite huggers are Mollydog, sym and my mum.

@ simiani'd just like to mention that the situation does occasionally get reversed when you are a slightly taller than average girl (only 5ft 9 mind!) living in a city populated by the shortest people in the country on average. and that is a statistical fact....

I'm 6'2" and my current gf is 5'2". I like her being shorter than me, she gives really good waste hugs. Also means that I can curl up round her, which is nice. I do know what people mean by the neck pain thing, but its not that bad really.
