Hey people!
Ever had your friends ask you: 'what is this 'punting'
thing you keep talking about?' or 'what do you do with
those balls of yours?' or 'why do you keep on beating
yourself with that big stick/balls in socks?' etc.?
Well, we have the answer to all your problems!
(Disclaimer: so long as they're related to the
questions above)
On Saturday August 19th, we have been planning a
little gathering: the idea is that we will meet up in
the afternoon on Saturday, go punting, then head out
to Grantchester for a night of BBQing spinning and
juggling (weather permitting). So come along! It's
very informal, just an opportunity to come along
spin/juggle/get drunk/whatever and hang out with some
cool people: Like YOU! yes, you!
punting in the daytime will probably cost a few quid
(about £2.50/hour with 6 people) provided we have
punts filled with 6 people to share the cost.

NB: If you get a punt, ask for a metal pole, they're
much easier to use than the wooden ones!

are you going to actually poi in the punt? because with my razor-sharp observations skills i've noticed they're quite flat, narrow, and perceptibly wobbly, and i'm hoping this equates to people falling in!
I'd like to come (especially in the event of above) but methinks cambridge is quite a mission from cardiff, so i don't know....

it's possible: I've done it! The long poles are good for staff contact too. it's going to be more like punting during the day, and spinning on terra firma at night: there's a lovely little field near my house..
One thing tho, Matt and Sym say they've both got house parties on that night, so I don't know what the plan is as it would be nice to get ALL the cambridge people in the same place: d'oh!

Yes, I might have a party planned for that night - It's not really 'mine' but my house mates want one because we'll be moving out the next weekend.
I'll do what you guys do, but you're all webcome to come to our party in the evening...

I think I'm only coming up for Saturday anyway, so I'll turn up sat and leave late sat night, catch one of the later trains

I can put people up at mine. Karen and I are planning to do a quick shop on Saturday morning for party food etc.
basically the Plan is:
Saturday afternoon go out Punting and spinning.
Saturday evening BBQ and spinning in a field.
Sunday morning: sleep/ hangover recovery
Sunday late afternoon Camcircus meet on Parker's Piece
