So, you may or may not know that in september I won't be comming back to Bolton after Bristol Juggling convention, but running off to Kent with my lovley man to join the circus. So, I need a leaving party.
I'm basically thinking one last weekend camping in the hills & playing with fire & chilling with all you spech northeners that I'm gonna miss like buggery.
So, can you make it? (It's penciled for 9th Sept but I'll change it if it clashes with something else) & do you have any ideas for a noise / fire frendly campsite?
any other suggestions?

We'll definitely have to sort something out. If you can find an appropriate venue (as in only us there) I may be able to sort out a soundsystem and some tunes

Hazel, you will be missed. But the 9th is a few days before Fal6 (14 sept).
I'm deffinatly up for this though as well.

a few days before is much better than actually clashing
the 9th is a saterday, but i'm thinking fri eve - sun aft & people will come & go as they please. Blue is best, blue is beautiful

This is the camp site I was looking at, it a nice place with a wall to climb. Only thing is they may have issues with it being a party.

Ashworth Valley is excellent - we used to go their for Team Builod at work, and for a couple of LARP events. Muchly recommended.

i've just e-mailed ashworth to see if they'll have us, otherwise i've just spent a most fantastic weekend with a load of jugglers on this campsite which is looking close second.
what we really need is some people with gazebo's, or marquee type afairs for comunial sheltering. Also, if it's gonna be in Hawkshead, we need to construct an of groud fire pit so we don't mess up the feild (spinning's fine, but bonfire ain't)

Not sure about helping with a marquee/gazebo, but will do my best.
As for a fire pit, speak to Seye, he has an excellent pit

to hazel i would love to cum to your party, have you sort out time and how long poeple are camping for. are camping until mon or just to sun.

Righty, looks like I've found the perfect place, big field we can make as much noise as we want in and have fires. There's also a stream & resevoir we can go swimming in, toilets and a guest house at the end of the road for them that is too posh to camp. I'm gonna go check it out next tues & then you'll all get private invites with the details on as we don't want to be mistaken for one of those nasty free party type afairs
I think Hebden Bridge is a reletavly close train station & easy to get to from Manchester so pick ups & lift shares will get sorted soon.
As for camping, you can come & go as you like between Fri eve & Sunday. :sun:

Hebden Bridge is really close to Preston so that might be do-able. If not I will move a mountain (collecting spring water whilst I'm at it) to get there!

oooo that does look like fun, i need to visit some friends in leeds too.... but i don't think they'll have room for us all.... there are alot of non hopers comming too.... and we're not going for the hebden bridge place now

HazelRa, just quick heads up that you'll definetely need to book the campsite if its the same one as we stayed at for world juggling day, cos the farmer kicked us off last time we went (pre Go Ape) as it was full. Ended up camping on National Trust property, awaiting the ominous 'Ranger'...!!!
