Hi all... I am a complete newbie to poi, fire twirling and anything/everything related. In fact, I'll only even see it in real life for the 1st time next Friday (making it down to the Moon Fest on north side of Brissie).
Anyway, this is me...
Name: Pat... but Pogo to those that know me well.
Location: Logan City, south of Brisbane, QLD, Oz.
Hometown: As above.
DOB: 17/09/1969
Age: 36 and counting...

Occupation(s): Computer Programmer. Worked for myself from home for 2 1/2 years, but have recently had to get a "real" job.
Favorite Food(s): Hmmm... pretty much anything, really.
Favorite Color(s): Green
Toys: Acoustic guitar, Classical guitar, 3 electric guitars, 2 djembes.
Hobbies other than the obvious: Music, Reading, Keeping fit (hmmm, not so much of the keeping fit, actually)
Education: Did Bachelor of Science majoring in Computer Science and Pure Maths. Then Grad Dip Appl Computing... then started a research masters, but gave it away when life got in the way.
Favorite Book(s): Have to get back to you on that one... The Anarchist was the last book I read, quite liked it.
Favorite Movie(s): Lots... Fight Club, Snatch, Lock Stock..., Finding Nemo, Pulp Fiction, Pay It Forward...
Favorite TV show(s): Don't watch tv.
Plans for life in general: (i.e. what you want to do when you grow up) I really... wish... I knew.
Favorite Music Artists/Composers: Lately... Xavier Rudd, Jack Johnson, JBT, Blue King Brown, Donavon Frankeneiter, Rob Sawyer, The Waifs... blues/roots stuff.

Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella? (please choose one...this is important as it is essentially this site's equivalent of stating your religion...we have religious wars, crusades, cathedrals to Nutella, all that.)

I went, miss kitten...
got home about... an hour ago... had all my kids with me too!! 3 of em made it, one snoozed under the treeso jess saw her 1st moonfest, the boys saw their 2nd... and I brought along a friend and introduced her to her 1st moonfest too!!! way YAY!!
was pretty big one too... LOTSA people... spring has sprung and it was on a friday, so a big crowd was to be expected
the moon was spectacular tonight...

Moon, what moon?? Nothing but storms and rain in Michigan. Spring??? The trees are starting to change colors up here and the nights are getting cooler. Oh well, I need to get a place in New Zealand for the Michigan Winters, forget Florida.

No kidding!
It's still quite nice here, but the evening chill has the essense of Fall on the way.
Guess I can't complain too much.
We normally have rather mild wheather but there are exceptions, plus we are prone to a couple of hurricanes at least every year. We've not had anything as bad as New Orleans had with Katrina, but the ones we have had have been no picnic.

Hmmm...I'm a pretty strong swimmer but, I don't know if I'd make it that far.

I looked, honest...I did a circuit of the park, looking for people, but I did not find *ONE*... had a bunch of people, one after another recognise me, but I couldn't see a damn thing... night blindness, mabye... or just absent minded...

So i get as much of a fix as i can during my work day. So i'm keeping that excuse for now. *pokes tongue*

Yeah, believe me, I understand.
I'm lucky in that I have very gracious parents who bought me my computer so that I could use it to take my online classes to get a Criminal Justice degree.
