So who's going to Glade this year then?

I'm going with a few friends and can't wait! bounce

The venue is undecided yet, and is apparently different to last year, more information can be found at the eFestivals website and at the Official Glade Website. The Glade site is moving server but was emailed to say that it should be up and running on wednesday.

See you there? biggrin

James, I remember it being about 75 quid last year. Perhaps I'm wrong. With booking fees and everything, it's over 100 this year. That's too much.

The ID thing is something I have an objection to on principle. For the same reasons as I have objections to ID cards...

It's gone up by about a fiver from last year, although it's a bit more if you include the booking fee. But still only 12 quid or so. Maybe you're thinking of the first year; there were early bird tickets going for about 70 quid then. But they always said that they got lots of artists playing for very cheap to help the festival get going and it would be more in future.

I have objections to ID cards; don't see why that has to do with ticket touting prevention.

There's going to be another batch of tickets released closer to the event at the Glade shop - so keep the money safe and make sure you're on the mailing list; you should be able to get a ticket then.

Or see if Access All Areas still have any left on Monday. Last year Warp Records were selling tickets as well, can't see any on their site though.

don't worry. I'm an idiot. I can get tickets on my Credit Card. I completely forgot about that till Becci reminded me.

What Credit Cards are for - emergancies. I count this as quite an emergancy don't you? wink

Well I just bought three ... my ticket order was #4420...

Get yourself on their mailing list anyway... for the next round, even if you do miss this one...

and don't worry about being on your own, there will be heaps of HoPpies and cool people there!

My concern is getting from EJC to wherever Glade is going to be, in a day without too much $$$ and stress.... confused the location being secret 'cos of security is all well and good, but it would be nice to know where I have to buy a ticket to while there's still a chance to get one cheap.

Any clues of where it is likely to be???

Well, Mr Dub, and others in the same boat (or plane more likely...)
I will be travelling from EJC to Glade (wherever the hell it is!) on 14th July, by the most efficient Irish rail/lift/plane/English public transport method possible. so if anyone else is going to both, let's do the travel together...

You weren't the last two years; but if it's a new site then it's possible you will. I guess we'll find out closer to the time!

lucky you. i woudn't complain about the higher ticket price, it's essentially paying for a better festival. this isn't commercial like glastonbury so there are no corporate sponsors and the guys behind it have defiantely got the right attitude... still not sure what i'm doing yet though, both this and ejc are unmissable! rolleyes

I just received two emails from the ticketing company Gtickets saying that my order(s) had been rejected (cos either not enough dosh or wrong details on address)
One rejected order was for 2 tix, one for 3. This made me a bit suspicious as I had not put in an order for 2 tix.
Also the order numbers were different to the one I had received a confirmation email about. So I contacted my credit card company and was told that one amount (equal to 3 tix) has gone through fine. So what are these 'other orders'?? Something insecure somewhere and someone trying to use my credit card? Gtickets getting confused?

I will try to phone them when the Time Zones align but meantime...Anyone else had similar problem?

Thanks! I'm just glad I phoned my credit card company first (and found out that an order for 3 had gone through OK) before I put another order in (as advised by the email from Gtix). or I would have been stuck with the cost of 3 extra tickets that would have been hard to sell cos of their hypersecurity approach!!!
