Now the question is, do I wait till I can get a vidcam for my first burn? yeah.. prolly (don't have much chance to burn right now anyway frown )...

And, ravehead, you do realize that if you just follow the instructions and assemble your present properly, you'll have a:
lu leg grab!!

See how much more fun that is than bugger all?

(sorry ta hear bout your present situation)...

Definition of poi- A Hawaiian food made from the tuber of the taro that is cooked, pounded to a paste, and fermented.

Don't go questioning Aimée's intellegence man... This thread deserves to be in social chat, rather than discussion. Which is what she was implying.

You'll notice that the rest of the threads in this forum are far more intellectually stimulating than this one. There's a reason for that.

The problem lies in your choice of forum placement. Social discussion is more of a place for serious topics, for informing, and communication, and chat is the place where people can act however they want.

There is no need to get hostile, they were simply pointing out that this probably wasn't the best place for this thread. While their opinions might be out of your concern, bear in mind that this is a community, and we try to treat each other with respect.

I agree with FRD and aimz, this belongs in chat.

Somber you can't. Only a mod can.

Instead of moving it why not add a bit of weight to it and turn it into a discussion thread by asking some questions people have to think about to answer, such as "Do you think that Christmas has been taken over by commercialism and all the present giving has gone crazy?" or "Do you find that each year you get given more and more presents that you don't really need, that get put to one side a week after Christmas and never get used again?"

I personally do think present giving has gone crazy. I had a friend at school who's family instead of giving loads of gifts back and forth used to be allowed to ask for one thing they really wanted and then everyone else put money they would have spent on that person into a pot. The gift they requested would be purchased out of that money. Each year they would pick a charity together that the remaining money would go to. I can't say the children grew up feeling left out or lacking in gifts. They were a happy healthy bunch that showed a great deal of love and concern for their community.

I think there is far too much "I want" and not enough "I need" going on in the world. Nearly all of us are guilty of it, me included.
