www.firetom.com - to be revised

My photostream on FlickR

My YouTube channel - not that frequently updated

Gemini/ pices rising, blue magnetic mayan storm, taroistic sun (19), chinese munky...

Adoring arts primordial majesty.... Beauty (something where you do not feel that anything needs to be added or taken away), Fire(dance), design, diving, drawing, friends, jewellery, life in general, massage, music, motocross, movies, photography, philosophy, sunsets...

Books: The Alchemist, Celestine Prophecy, The Unbearable Easiness of Being (by Milan Kundera).... but currently living my own fiction rather than reading that of others...

Movies: Amelie, LotR (all of them), Crash, Matrix (all of them), City of Gods, Being John Malkowitch, City of Angels, The Big Blue, Name of the Rose, Le Vita e Bella, Amores Perros, Monsieur Ibraim... too many to list... let's try more: Deja Vu, The Illusionist, Valley of Flowers, Awaken, Blueberry, Star Wars (well, yeah - oldskool), 2001 and 2010 Space Odyssey, A Hitchhikers guide trough galaxy... smile

Music: (Deep/Progressive)-House, Dance, PsyTrance, Easy Listening, N.O. Jazz, Zydeco, Blues, Swing, Classic, Latin, Rock, Cafe del Mar, Buddha Bar, Reggae, Dub, Sufi Music, Sikh Music, Percussion (like Gaudi), Worldmusic... really anything with quality and harmony, even mainstream if produced with taste and finesse... ubbangel

Favourite quote (s):

"mind your thoughts - they will become your words

mind your words - they will become your actions

mind your actions - they will become your character

mind your character - it will become your destiny"

(lao-tse)

"we have to become the change we want to see in this world"

(ghandi)

"money can buy a house but not a home, a bed not sleep, a clock but not time, a book not knowledge, a position but not respect, a doctor not health, blood not life... money can buy sex but not love... and love is the way..." (anonymous)

"kiss me tom" (supergirl) wink ubblove

world traveller in summer years, artist, munky, rebel, embodying life's extremes of water - fire - air - earth - space, a spiritual being having a (very) human experience, juggling probs and projects, solving life's equation - for just those 2 cubic-metres of sensual experience, striving for the same destiny as you - merely on a different road... hug

Previous proFessions: dishwasher, cleaner, chauffeur, driver, salesperson, security, agent, manager, eX-millionaire, artist, musician, dj, didjmaker, (jewellery and clothing)designer, goldsmith, gemcutter and polisher, massage therapist, performer, coward and hero, blind - mute and deaf at the right and wrong times, chilled by nature, heart and hands on fire, impulsive, harmlesss master, devoted fool, dancing child of destiny, faith healer...

Sometimes controversial, rebelling, polarizing shrug

Got initiated to firedancing in Byron '96, firestaff... didn't touch Poi for 3 years after hitting my balls with heavy firepoi, dared another try in 1999 and proceeded, got my kix in Koh Pha'Ngan 2002, then started a professional career shows in Germany, Brazil, India, held workshops worldwide...

...not the greatest spinner at all, ceased training two years, but am back into it...

sometimes pretty clumsy... rolleyes English is only my second lingo! Please take this into account... as a German I would often say "can you" instead of "could you please"... not engaging much in popularity contests and definitely not too much into Social Games and Chat. Idle talk is really something I consider not worth the precious air.

But definitely Nutella................................ on creamcheese toast or Belgium Waffles!!!

ubbrollsmile bounce

Registered 03 to HoP after promoting it since my first day spinning - never made the time to look or post rolleyes ... that's why the number is low, the errrr's are high... wink

Looking for where the home is for the heart - can't really decide so far as the planet is so genuinely beautiful...

ubblove and ubbidea to all of you

Really nice interesting intro, ubblove your favourite quotes, I think my favourite Ghandi quot is:

"You can't shake hands with a clenched fist"

I'll have it tattooed on me somewhere, someday, when it feels right!

Take care! hug

this thread is a bit dusty, I will give it a little polish (not as in the country)...

I'm currently sitting in the hightech superbig sensual overload of MBK shopping centre at Siam Square, in the middle of buzzling Bangkok, trying to figure what to do with my time and about to watch a movie at the top floor entertainment centre... rolleyes

Thais seem to be much into action movies - at least that's what they show in the theatres... very little alternative... Have seen "the Departed" and "Crank" recently - the former with worthwile appearances of Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg and this other dude who was also starring in "the Beach" and "Titanic"... wink

The latter a completely pointless orgy of violence... and also "Stormbreaker", which I have seen the first 20 miutes now... completely pointless movie. Oh yes and "DoA": a display of a lot of pretty skin involved in martial arts action.... also pointless. shrug

Jupp, I have visited almost every temple in the "City of Angels" already and am waiting to depart to Goa on next weekend with the first flight of Air Lanka into Goa airport EVER! Teehee, I'll make all the funniest faces for the fotographers wink

Aurinko: Guadeloupe? Whatya doing there? Thanks for posting in my intro-thread smile

oiii, Marc Wahlberg is hot. Especially when he's half-naked. Never saw him completely naked (unfortunately), so I can't make a statement about that

You always act as if it was a miracle or an enormous act of charity when someone posts in your thread. Any phobias or neuroses we should know about?

About Guadeloupe: Officially I'm here to learn French. Even though at the moment it's more partying and mentally preparing for surfing (2morrow I'll have my first surf lesson ever!).

Do U already know where U're gonna be at Xmas/New Year's Eve?

Yo, Aurinko - no phobias really *ponders* well maybe I'm just not regarding myself to be such a nice person in terms of taking the responses (or the lack thereof) personally. It's crap, I know - but I was brought up in very limited circumstances (financially) in an extremely rich neighbourhood.

Our home was the "wichplace" - a wooden, 2 storybuilding amidst 1 hectar of very old, untouched forest. The local train was passing just at it's borders and everybody was looking into our garden. We had up to 15 animals in the peaktimes (3dogs, 4 sheep, 1 cat, and 7 chicken) and that seemed like very inapropriate in a neighbourhood of millionaires and Munichs high society (Beckenbauer, Rodenstock - name them yourself).

My dad was never paying his allemonies and my mum didn't have the money to buy me new clothes all the time. You may guess, but really I got dragged across the schoolyard every single day. Being exposed to s***loads of mockery and violence. I had zero friends in this village for most of my childhood - but I wouldn't want to miss even a single day, growing up with my animal companions in this forest. The house got built around 1900 - before and after the forest was pretty much untouched... smile A dream.

But maybe it's coming from that angle? Dunno whether, but perhaps it's a phobia... shrug

Learning french in Guadeloupe? That sounds nice! Never mind the partying, at least a good way to make nice friends. Surfing? Weeehooo - all the best, I'm sure you gonna loveit!

Pretty skin and martial arts - never a waste of time! (Particularly if the pretty skin is attached to a 6-pack and a pretty face. *drool*)
