- Note: campsite is open for the nights of the 9th to the 15th inclusive - ie, people leave on Sunday 16th July.

PLEASE NOTE THAT I WILL KEEP UPDATING THIS PAGE AS MORE INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE For EJC Ireland 2006, we have secured the use of the largest indoor
hall in Ireland, with plenty of fields for tents, camping and fun, all
on the same site. We realise that the dates are significantly earlier
than many of you were expecting, but if we held the EJC in August, as
in previous years, we would be unable to use a site of this quality.
Our priority is to deliver a great convention, and that is what we are
concentrating on doing!

Right, that's Simon, Jon and myself booked onto the 15.15 flight on the 9th and the 13.00 flight on the 16th

I'm about to book ferry tickets from Swansea to Cork. There is only one a day so I have no choices about times of departure and arrival
I'm going to book the 8th (saturday) 11pm boat that gets me to Cork at 9am on the Sunday.
If I book a ferry from Cork to Swansea on the 17th (monday) is there anywhere I can stay on the sunday night in Cork near the ferry terminal as the ferry leaves at 9am?
What is public transport to and from the ferry port like as I'll be on foot?
Anyone care to join me for 10 hours each way of sea sickness?

Ok you lovely spinners - i have a challenge for you:
We need a poi game at the EJC. A good one
My suggestion is water balloons in either fish nets or those net things you put laundry detergent tablets in, and then you play gladiator style - trying to burst everyone else's balloons, but protect yours (while still spinning). But we need to road-test this, as i haven't tried it yet to see if it works - anyone having a spinning meet that they'd like to turn into a water fight anytime soon?
Any other ideas? Jugglers have all the fun at the games. It's time we joined them properly.

i thought the staff pirouette indurence at the bjc games was pretty cool. could also be done with poi & good to watch 2.

Poi golf, poi races, airwrap endurance, erm... oo we could have one like the staff one at bjc, turning really really fast while spinning a weave, see how long it takes to fall over/smack yourself.

There's that game where everyone runs around in a designated area trying to steal each others tails. In this case tails would be poi, obviously.
But it does involve putting poi slightly down your pants a bit

hey any you're-o-pee-ins got any bright ideas about what a dummy like arashi could do about getting to EJC that would involve being with some of my friends beforehand, as opposed to just sauntering in lonesome, and then going to Germany or Boom Festival? Pm me huh?

oh we played that in circus sometimes but it can get a wee bit violent......im usually 1st out, when your being chased by 3 acrobats and a clown.....i end up begging them to take the tail....although i do suggest holding on to your trousers as its embarassing when they get ripped.............

plus i think its impossible to play trad music sober. and dont forget that there will be full moonliness on the second day of the convention and pretty full then for the duration of the EJC lunar calendar

I just bought my tickets to get out to the EJC! *happiness*
I'll be on the same flight as Simian, Bovrilmonkey, and all the rest going on that flight. I'm not sure if I've met all of the people going on that flight yet (I recognise faces better than names).
I'm already looking forward to the whole trip!
(ok, ok, I've been looking forward to it for at least a month now, but who's counting

Yay another hopper on the same flight! I reckon all people on this flight should exchange numbers so we can meet up and juggle and make balloon models in the airport
