I haven't yet, though if ever I get copious ammounts of Kevlar...
I saw some sterling silver roses at a market in mel;bourne a couple of years ago. Covering the head of one of the-that's just make a short handles fire wand, now I think of it. never mind.
Hmmm...Off the top of my head I suppose if you weren't worried about melting tyres you could stick kevlar around some of your bicycle spokes. I don't know about the heat tolerence of these things though, and fireproof clothing would as always be a must. Probably metal mudguards too. before anyone tries this though i hugely suggest talking to someone who knows more about the physics of fire in motion like this than I.

Crosses, stars (think crosses with two extra arms coming out of the center, front and back), scyth (death costume). You can set anything on fire with enough fuel. Try it!

yeah i do, tho i feel like a tool for adapting existing wushu weapons and not creating something speshtastically new in it's own right.

variations on double ended flails (the classic poi staff that is regularly done for the first time now and then smile ) don't really excite me.

perhaps next for me would be existing toys with extravagant wicking.
I am considering posting practice footage online, but the ligthing is dimmer than the guy behind the frog song.

Oh yeah! Sorry. Silly me.
It's in the Download section on www.soton-firespinning.co.uk

You need to become a member.

Its either on "Falmouth - The Meet - June 2004" or "Falmouth 2" ........ I think. The problem is I'm doing this from memory. My computer is so badly bolloxed at the moment that I can't open the vids to watch and check which one. They are both worth a watch anyway just for the fun of them biggrin In fact all the vids on Soton are good to watch.

I hope that helps hug

(but tell me if it has been done before) biggrin basically a meteor but instead of having two balls on fire at the ends have like the chains on fire kind of like fire snakes just with meteor, so basically 2 long wick with a handles in the middle??? If this an orriginal design does anyone have any idea how i would be able to make one?

But then i would have to cover the rope in kevlar to turn into a meteor-snake thingy. And if i did that would the rope be set on fire aswell??

..... I actually once caught sight of a bellydancing hipbelt for fire. I was browsing designs for fans with Google (*a good friend of mine works in a metal shop and left an open offer for me once- big mistake on his part) and pulled it up somehow.....

Let me dig up the link from my bookmarks....

Wierd things I've set on fire.

One time I made a set of fire astro jaks. Not sure if anyone has ever tried that before.
I've adapted several martial arts weapons into fire props probably the most interisting though is my fire flexable tai chi sword.
I did a chineese spear one time that turned out to be pretty cool looking.

I don't know if anybody here longboards. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, its a lot like skateboards but the difference being that you can carve like on a snowboard.

Anyways, my friend and I were messing around one day on out longboards and decided they would look cool on fire. So we wrapped the tail ends of them in a towel (we didn't have any kevlar on us) soaked in fuel (it forget what we used) and set down a long mountain road.

I'll never forget the looks on people's faces when they saw two guys racing each other down a hill on lit longboards. Some people thought we didn't know about the fire and tried to warn us while others just stared in awe. It was fun but the boards got scorched a bit.
