Woo hoo! (with a hint of Eeeeeeeeeeek) biggrin

Just booked our round the world tickets!

Argh - quite scary!

So thought I'd better set about getting all my contacts lined up and see if anyone's going to be anywhere near us at any stage.

Our (vague) plans are as follows:

London - Goa (9th November)

Make our way North into Rajasthan and the foothills, leaving from...

Delhi - Bangkok (16th December)

Explore Thailand, Cambodia etc, making our way eventually down to...

Singapore - Bali (10th February)

Spend a bit of time in Indonesia before flying from...

Bali - Perth (3rd March)

Explore a bit of the West Coast before...

Perth - Adelaide (31st March)

Set up home somewhere for 3 months, working and getting more funds together

Sydney - Christchurch (21st July)

Freeze our nips off and look at pretty mountains, before going from

Auckland - Buenos Aires (28th June)

Overland over to Santiago, making our way up to...

Lima - New York City (19th August)

NYC - London (23rd August)

Large portions of niceness biggrin

Anyone fancy meeting up for a beer somewhere then? wink

You must have beef in argentina... (if you eat it) don't recommend the drivers tho. Overland to Santiago ^_^ interesting... I personally think you should poke uruguay for a day or so (there's ferry's to montevideo from buenos aires, can't imagine it takes all that long but you could check ^_^) but argentine estancia life might also be worth checking out...

Tra, I've cousins in Thailand but no liklihood of being out that way, or of being in SA when you finally get there... :/ Shame, I love the place...
Oh, and see some capibarra and also herds of wild guinea pigs for us! er.. .. me... biggrin

Anyway, have fun biggrin

I found england to be cheaper than the states......

London included.......

Altho I'm sure london and the south are more expensive than podunk US, I bet new york city is more expensive than london.......

Of course maybe my problem is not living off of off brand mac & cheese and rice... tongue

Oh, and if either of you like white wine at all, you have to try some of the wines in south america.... I got one of the best bottles I've *ever* had at a restaurant there for about U$S10 (It would have cost more than $50 in a first world country easily) and chilean wines (which i did not get to try) are actually well regarded internationally even.....

Durbs its the most badly organised trip I've heard of!! You arrive in Adelaide the day I leave to go back to England!! Maybe we'll see each other at the airport??! I guess I'll just have to go back to Perth at the beginning of March and catch up with you there for some pie and strongbow?? Either that or I'll have to extend my time here.... Does sound like an amazing trip you've got planned. And to the Guildford people, I'll keep it going while he's away!!! smile

Yay - more people to meet biggrin

3 weeks & 2 days.... eek

All I've really planned is what toys to take:
Double-staffs
Fire poi
orange fluffy poi
5 juggling balls (And if I can't do 5 after a year I'll cry)
100m acrylic
85m metal CJ ball (for practising in the sun and on beaches)

Sorted biggrin

It reminds me of my current packing list for my month in england coming up which is :

pressies/stuff for friend
awesome orange poi drew made me smile
juggling balls
riding boots, helmet, and breeches.
harp

I mean, its only a month. But the thing is I'm packing everything I own into boxes and taping them up so I can move... (I'm not coming back to live here) and you'd think I'd, like, pay attention to something besides leisure stuff...

are your staffs collapsable? If not how are you carrying them? I've yet to figure out how to travel with staffs....
