Accommodation:
Camping/van space onsite. Backpackers' hostels and billets available as well. Let us know if you are a Brissy person who can fit some travellers in...
Cost:
Then: $100 for the whole weekend, including some catering and camping (if required)

Woo!! Finally back home after uberoz and back on my computer. Thanks heaps to everyone, I learnt so much and the skill level was unbelievable. Can't wait for the next one!

Playing with whips Showing fire bunny stuff and going through with josh and steve with move's.
Ubertangles knotty goodness
dance workshop (i got to be a manequin and hearing bluecat saying oh puk thats so wrong )
A very prompt dropbear attack to josh (him saying oh no ) ended up turning into a group hug .
Gabes party firey and drum goodness (hehe)
Meeniks class of bizare stuff
wibbles still have me stuffed
Doms classes where really good to (he's a great teacher just really long hehe)
and just catching up with everybody on brisbane rememinding me what im missing.
Im sure there's a lot more but that will do .

Well I finally have everything sorted for the uberOz fire video i'm making.
All the footage is captured, Kyle and elliott have made a badass tune.
I've clipped 90 minutes of fire footage (from outside the hall on the saturday and poolside at the party)
I just need permissions from people to use their footage as this is going on the Spercular Vision dvd.
So if you are one of these people or know their hop name then pm me please.
If i get everyones email i can just bulk mail you all.
(I'm not too hot on names so apologys if i get your name wrong)

Brings back very fond memories watching all this footage again. The level of skill at uberOz was breath taking. It's an increadibly hard task cutting this down to 9 mins, might have to overlay 2 people at once just to fit it all in.

Well i'm just rendering up a copy of the uberOz video. Damn it's taken ages to make. And i've just realised 1 person who i have oodles of footage of and completely forgot to put in the video, juggler mark. DOH
Hmmm. Thing is i have so much footage that i couldn't face clipping it up with all the rest. I'll get in touch with him and maybe squeeze a few clips in this video and make a separate thing in the vj section, or something.

But apart from that today went really well, after yesterday deciding i didn't like the video i'd made, it just wasn't clicking. But today i love it.

Well hello hello
People are starting to ask me for news of the second UberOz for 07, or more succinctly: 2UberOz7
The bad news is I am not organising anything early this year (too close to Woodford Circadia, and I need some day job $$ right now rather than another round of gratis event management!)
No one else seems to be putting hands up to organise one either, though we did have some talk about a Melbourne event. (If anyone wants to get something up in their home town, contact Bluecat for naming rights! )
BUT...
The good news is that I AM organising something for later in the year, that will incorporate a 2UberOz style event (residential, masterclasses in poi and staff) within a more ambitious event; an Australian Juggling Convention
I just bought the domain name ozjc.com as the crucial first step. (Telling you all about it is the crucial second step) Details will be going up online (and on HoP of course) as soon as I know them.
This inaugral OzJC will be in Brisbane, probably in late August/early Sept. That way we can finish with giant Fireworks on the River kindly laid on by the City Council! Unfortunately this is not in school holidays... having it in the Sept hols would be a clash with Common Ground. Also in August I will be able to get at least one certain International Superstar Guest Dude to visit our shores
OzJC will not necessarily be like any other Juggling Convention. It will be based across various parts of our lovely city rather than a self contained location. (I am very open for people taking the concept to other cities in future. That's why it's called OzJC rather than BrisJC...))
The 2UberOz-type bit will hopefully be at the same school/scout hall, for a weekend. The rest of the week will be in beautiful Brissy locations, and with some outreach/integration into the wider community. So it will be a great holiday as well as a great time for learning/sharing.
Plans are in an early stage.
Suggestions and offers of help are welcome! Anyone know much about marketing in Japan??
