This is one of those quizzes to see if you are actually able to think along the terms of a murderer. I thought with all the posts about shooting lately, it might be interesting to see the results.
The rules are to read the following statement and then answer with your first instinct, don't think about it at all, just feel it.
I'll reply in a few days with the answer, once people have a chance to answer. If you know the "answer", please don't say it.

Now, a woman is at the funeral of her mother when she spies a strange man whom she feels an immediate connection with and believes is her soulmate.
A few days later, she murders her sister.

Why?

*Remember don't think, just react.*

I failed this miserably, and actually Whipping Boy and I had the same answer in mind, as did my best friend. None of us are criminally minded but we all share a brain cell!

The first thing that springs to mind is that the man is the husband of the sister. The woman kills her sister in order to play the part shoulder to cry to the grieving widow. Thus hoping the man sees what an angel she is to be such a rock in his time of grief and falls in love with her.

Are we nearly there yet?

The sister most definetly killed the mother and the women found out...so the women killed her sister out of anger and pain. Now she can start a new life with the man she made the connection with.

I know the criminal minded answer and my real answer. First the real one, I thought she killed her because she was afraid her sister would steal her man away. CRIMINAL ANSWER BELOW **SPOILERS**

People take one look at me and say.."aww, crap he's gonna beat us up." and that is that...
i guess i have fallen into the

first instinct: the man is her sister's
second instinct: to get more inheritance (man or no man, even), if she would get some or all of her sister's share of her mother's estate and it did not devise on her sister's heirs other than herself (and she might be one of her sister's heirs, too)

third instinct, after writing the first two, the sicko kinky one, yeah, outta my own wickedness intuiting hers: da man is turned on by the thrill & danger of dating a possible murderer

fourth instinct: to get sympathy from the man for her recent double-loss

fifth instinct: Pele, you wouldn't even dream of. . . ? (now that's wicked of me, slap! slap!)

Fun. She killed her sister because she wanted to, she thought it´d be fun. (I know, I´m evil, that was my first thought though, nothing I can do about it)

Yeah I know the answer to this one...My friend is studying to be a psychologist and this is one of the tests they give to people to see if they have the same internal processes that a serial killer does!!!!!
I ASK EVERY PERSON I MEET THIS QUESTION...lol for obvious reasons... so far not one person has answered the question the way a serial killer would...WHEW!!!

No fair - I know the answer to this one so I can't post anything really.

I will say that I got the question right - in that my answer wasn't the criminally minded one

But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

LOL.... I forgot! If it's any consolation, Whipping Boy is here picking on me for it!

Well, the scary thing is that Kat has it for the most part, with the first half of her statement.

The woman killed the sister hoping that the man would show up to the sister's funeral.

I never actually thought of it. Glad to see there are several on here that are not criminally minded. Kat, honey, you look very lovely today! Please warn me if I ever piss you off!

Does anyone know the psyche test that equates your house with your desires and the body of water with your sexual prowess? PWB and I were discussing this the other day but couldn't remember it.

What I remember about the water part was how big you envision the water to be was your sex drive and what you did with the water was how important sex is in your relationship(s). I just want to remember the rest of the psychological meditation.

For example, my best friend hates the idea of sex. When she took the test she envisioned stepping over a babbling brook, thereby ignoring what little sex drive she had and placing no improtance on the act.
Whipping Boy envisioned standing on a cliff overlooking the ocean, meaning that he has a great drive but that it doesn't rank high on his things to do.
Me? I saw an ocean and went scuba diving in it! You tell me what that means!

That's funny, Pele, me too. Of course being from Laguna, if i think of a body of water, i think of my Mother Ocean, and if i think of interaction with the ocean i think of bodysurfing...

My mom showed me one ages ago where the room you think of is s'posed to mean how openhearted you aren and i thought of the living roon of our old beach house, which was windows on three sides...

I mostly don't have the mind of someone who does awful things, but periodically i'll think up something pretty terrible...
